Sure, if one admits that it is possible to communicate with those who have already passed, or if one who has died has risen from the dead and told people about it. And I'm not just referring to Jesus. There was a saint in the middle ages (St. Vincent Ferrera, I think) who raised someone from the dead so that he testify whether a certain person was his murderer or not. After clearing the person's name the saint asked him if he wanted to go on living or return to being. The guy said he wanted to go back to being dead since his time in purgatory was almost up and he would soon be in heaven.

Ecc. 9:5 says that the dead are dead< they are in a deep sleep jesus likened death to sleep when it came to lazarus death @ John 11:11-14 So that proves right there that there is no afterlife period but their is a hope >john 5:28,29

Nope, because if you could prove it one way or the other, there would no longer be a key element of religion and that's Faith! Without faith you have nothing.

No you can't. Sort of casts an ugly shadow on the whole after life thing now doesn't it?
I imagine "because the bible says so" is good enough for people who don't want to be bothered actually thinking about it for a minute or so.

I could prove it for someone else but I wouldn't want to and I doubt they would want me to either.

No. Even near death experiences are caused by hallucinations of the distressed brain. Only the Zombie knows for sure :)

You could have a near death experiance causing you to die temporarily. So I guess no, death (howbeit temporary) still has to occur

Yes, there are many techniques to induce out of body travel. If you're interested in learning them, just ask me. I think that's more than enough proof.

If you believe in the Bible, it explains pretty clearly what happens after death.
