"freethinkers?" and always with quotes but not the question mark. Do not want to offend any atheists who are not freethinkers (is that possible?) or vice-versa

My husband was raised in the catholic church and I am protestant and we attend a protestant church- which offers a blessing on the baby and the parents promise to raise the child as a Christian. My mother in law is pressuring us to have the baby baptized - specifically on the Catholic church. My understanding is that that entails vowing to raise you child in the Catholic church as a Catholic. That would mean we would be lying so I can't just do it to please her but she and my aunt won't lay off, saying the baby will go to hell otherwise........our church does not agree in this teaching. What do we tell these relatives?

If a presidential canidate publically announced that he did not believe that the religion you believed in was legitimate, would you still vote for this person? Would you have enough faith in that person to treat all people equally when he/ she has already proven to discriminate and hold a biased opinion?

I mean, those of us with true faith cannot be shaken. When we trust in the Lord with all that is in us, we can get everything in this world taken away, but no one can pluck us out of the Father's hand (that's from the Bible)

I was approached by a great friend of mine not too long ago. He asked me if I had accepted Jesus as my lord and saviour. When I said yes, He asked if I was baptized in the name of Jesus? And did I come out of the water speaking in tongues? When I said no, He told me I was still condemed to hell? I was amused by this. So I had to reasearch it further. His religion is primarily based on the book of Acts, and a few rules out of Duetromonomy... When I told him this is not what Jesus had in mind he was very mad at me and told me I had to switch to his religeon and speak in tongues.. Well I told him I love him as a brother in Christ and spreading that message is only assisting satan!! When you tell people that the only book is Acts you are forcing them away from the whole truth. That religeon is just that, a religeon? Was I wrong?

the only way to Heaven is to accept Christ as my Lord and Savior, something I did over 26 years ago. However, I have always questioned this, because part of me doesnt believe that Christians will be the only ones going to Heaven. I believe there is something in the Bible about having to know of Jesus. So what about other religions that honestly do not know or have been taught that He isnt the only way?

Cats, dogs, etc. If you talk about eating a dog, people gross out. In Ecuador, they eat fried guinia pig for crying out loud! Why we do that? I aim to get to the bottom of this.

I looked in my dictionary.Same as the word n....r.to deride people with darker pigmentation. These words always remind me of hatred and ignorance.I always think of the nasty people who said you are queer so pissoff. The same way that other minority groups feel when they are told to go away.My question is why do they find it acceptible to be called queer.Who knows one day the word f----t will become acceptible too.

Please read this article:
Hamas TV show kills militant mouse character
• Israeli character kills Mickey Mouse lookalike star in final episode
• Teen presenter describes Farfour the mouse as "martyr"
• Kids' show character had urged Palestinian children to fight Israel

GAZA CITY (AP) -- A Mickey Mouse lookalike who preached Islamic domination on a Hamas-affiliated children's television program was the victim of a pretend beating death in the show's final episode Friday.

In the final skit, the "Farfour" character was killed by an actor posing as an Israeli official trying to buy Farfour's land. At one point, the mouse called the Israeli a "terrorist."

"Farfour was martyred while defending his land," said Sara, the teen presenter. He was killed "by the killers of children," she added.

How can anybody possibly expect Israel to make peace with these kinds of people???

It makes no sense whatsoever, according to the definition of lake.
Lake - n.
1. A large inland body of fresh water or salt water.
2. A scenic pond, as in a park.
3. A large pool of liquid: a lake of spilled coffee on my desk.

Or is fire considered liquid?
