5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and depart from evil.
8 It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones Proverbs 3: 5-8
I like this verse because it shows if we surrender our lifes to the LORD, then He will guide us and renew us with the WORD.

12For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
When we take the bible to heart it is living and active in our lifes. The bible judges us and renews use with words of life.
See also 2 Timothy 3:16-17 for how the bible corrects us.

as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD Joshua 24:15
This verse speaks for it self

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.Jeremiah 29:11
Wow God thinks about us! God has plans for us of peace and hope in our future. This is just a wonderful verse that shows how GREAT OUR GOD REALLY IS!

These verse have always kind of stuck with me. I have them on my wall.

May God Bless all who read these verses: fill them with joy and peace!

That is so hard to pick, let's start with Romans 8 the whole chapter:
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. .... and "so then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.... (drum roll please for vs 9) But you are not in the flesh but Spirit if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you......." and then farther on down the line.... vs 11, and so on, vs 37-39.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities... shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

When I first got saved I was advised to memorize scripture... and so I started out with a verse or two here and there, and then I got stumped and began praying for God to give me what He wanted me to memorize next. I heard nothing for days... and then one morning I was out in my drive and said... "Really Father God, if you want me to memorize something else You are going to have to be super clear on this." At that moment a car turned and went down the street, and their personal license plate was.... Romans 8. You can bet I started working on memorizing it right away!

Same thing happened with Isaiah 55, only it wasn't a car plate. It was a painting on a wall.

It changes alot for me. Currently when it feels like I'm failing and doing a poor job, I like to read Paul's letters to the different churches and his encouraging letters to Timothy. They help lift me up when I'm feeling beat down in the battle for Christ. Other times I really enjoy reading the old testament and the history of our walk with God. Its always encouraging to read how God uses man even after man fails miserably.

Psalm 46:10

it's a reminder to take a break once and a while and realize the awesomeness of God. our world is so hectic and crazy, all we accomplish is worthless if it does not glorify God.

Ephesians 5:8-14

this one hits home for me. Jesus Christ is the light that brought me out of darkness.

1 Corin. 13. Love is patient, love is kind, love is not self seeking, love keeps no record of wrongs. The Scriptures clearly let us know what love is, I always need to be reminded.

'SO, SINCE Christ suffered in the flesh for us, for you, arm yourselves with the same thought and purpose [patiently to suffer rather than fail to please God}. For whoever has suffered in the flesh [having [c]the mind of Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [has stopped pleasing himself and the world, and pleases God],"

This verse basically speaks for itself.
