Jesus *was* an awesome dude. He incarnated onto the physical plane to bring a message of love and liberation to the people of that time. He fulfilled his mission. He *was* real. But the physical body of Jesus died and what "lives on" is the message he brought -- the same message that others brought before Jesus and since Jesus .... sincere seekers who are ready to return home will find it again and again. God's promise to soul is that there will always be a messenger on the planet at all times to lead those who are ready back home.

What about the millions of people in Africa starving and dying from AIDS? Does he love them or what?
I'm not trying to sound mean or angsty or whatever, but how I feel about Jesus is not a good way to use Yahoo Answers. And also promoting Christianity when alot of the people using this site are not Christian is a little far also.
Maybe you should keep your feelings to yourself unless someone asks.

He was a regular man with a good message who died around 2,000 years ago. The biblical jesus on the other hand, I believe to be a myth.

Why should I bother with my answer? I know how this works. You don't care what other opinions people have. You just want to hear people who already agree with you, no matter how ill-constructed their answer may be, and give one of them the "best answer" pick. It's just mental masturbation.
