Everyone seems to have a different idea of what each of them is, and none of those ideas are like each other. I'm confused. Is a hedge witch a gardening one? Does kitchen witch have to do with cooking? What on earth is a hearth witch?

Sleep with them.

This is related to another question I asked. Do we know the sexuality of Adam & Eve? the answers I got back suggested that people think Gay individuals can't or never would have sex in the same way someone straight would, no matter what. Are they right? If your gay, sleeping with the opposite sex is unthinkable, disgusting or something you could do in a desperate sittuation?

I was told recently that "a butterfly" is a symbol of the Resurrection. Didn't say whether it was of Jesus' Resurrection or the Resurrection to come. Anybody know the origin or anything else about this?

If you believe in the existence of homosexuals and bisexuals then it is clear that ones sexuality is not purely dependent on the physical form of the body, whether you are physically male or female. So Adam, male and Eve, female may not necessarily mean that either were heterosexual. I don't think the Bilbe says anything about their sexual preferrences or how they came together to produce children. That is left up to the immagination.

atheists see him as this mean vengeful jealous murderous beast, and christians see him full of love and forgiveness.

there is evidence in the bible for both, but it's hardly an even split

why do christians think that the few acts of good that god did/does far outweigh the almost continuous acts of evil he did/does?

please don't say it's not up to us to question god, because the only reason someone wouldn't want you questioning them is because they have something to hide.

Moses and Paul and other were all great people of their time and gave instructions on how to live by that time. Like the Mosiac laws were to keep people from dying from bad sanitation. Paul was a man of his time, but he followed the rule of society of his time that women were be to owned and ruled over but Jesus followed and truly lived the ten commandments. Who do you follow?

...or wishful thinking?

What is point of taking people up to heaven when in fact Jesus' kingdom is coming here to earth?

Being caught up with Jesus as he is coming down is more likely.

If you use scripture and you use the KJV - back it up some greek or use the NASB.

I think a lot theologies have corrupted the purity of the gospel. Some theology is obvious and some damaging. Some theology takes a word from the bible and makes a complete doctrine from it. Add to that many years of interpreting the theology and reinterpreting it you find yourself far from the original meaning.

Take election for example. It says God has determined from the begining of time who will live and who will die.

I don't think so. If God can see all times as now of course he knows what each person will do. From our point of view it would seem like it was all predestined. I say that it is not.

God knows what goes on at all times and plans accordingly. He has an advantage being God and all. Seeing the past, present, and future all at once...

Election makes the great commision null and void. What's the point in preaching the gospel if God already elected the saved and damned everyone else?
