I am so SURE that some people may believe that we were all brought about by chance (which by the way is very sad) but just the thought of where and when was the 1st molecule, piece of dust oh and somewhere in there does it mention YOU were created? (may we be reminded of our many freedoms, blessings, disappointments and miracles) i'm sure they came about by chance 2.

I wonder why you spell the word magic with a "k"? Maybe you are a follower of Aleister Crowley or Gerald Gardner. Does being a follower of this two charlatans made you think like that ?

Poor soul...

and now you're hallucinating about knowing the powers ( I don't use Crowley's invented words) of the gods and goddesses by reading a certain book written by a businesswoman? (Oh DJ Conway is a businesswoman...she cashed in on the modern revival of witchcraft to sell her books.)

The Buddha has this to say to people like you.
"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."

A simple quote about searching for true knowledge...using your head and the wisdom you will gain is priceless. Not from a paperback you bought for $11.45 in a bookstore.

Perhaps you should've started with your real question, which is a good one, in fact...about the origins of creation. Unless some was actually there...it will always in the realm of mystery and legend. Every culture has a creation myth; it's interesting to review each and compare it with how the modern people of that culture view life now.

...as far as atheism being disproven...you can prove a negative of anything; atheist believe that there is no god. In their viewpoint, no one has proven them wrong. It's a circle that will never be complete. IMHO...:)

You're just a troll. You can't disprove that people don't believe in a god. I don't believe in a god. What now?

It isn't necessary to have absolute information of God's non-existence to be atheist.

How can there be Atheists if there is no way to disprove the existence of God?
Absolute knowledge of the non-existence of God is not necessary to be an Atheist. All that is necessary is sufficient evidence that all of the Gods represented on Earth are man-made. There is sufficient evidence of these claims. God cannot exist as laid out by the Bible. He possesses multiple mutually exclusive traits that cannot be contained simultaneously by the same individual. If all religions are man-made, then the concept of God is man-made. That being said, there has never been a shred of evidence to support the existence of such a being. This makes the idea of the existence of a God illogical. The disbelief in all gods is fulfilling of the requirements of an Atheist by its definition.

As a pagan, I find this offensive.
Either you're a troll, or you have some serious problems.

Pagans don't behave this way. We don't tell people to follow another path or try to disprove theirs. We accept all positive paths as valid. Atheism has nothing to prove or disprove.. it's a belief that there are no gods. There's nothing wrong with that.

You are nowhere near a "mount of knowledge".

An atheist has nothing except few scientific theories yet to be proved. Their Godfather, Darwin could not prove his theory scientifically and ranway to Galapagose /Australia.

An atheist rejects Gods and Goddesses without any distinction between a real God and imaginary Gods!

A simple criteria is the NAME!!!

An immaginary God must have a Name.
Mythological deity is an human assumption having no evidence of existance! Hence must have a name!!

European Gods: Thor - God of Thunder & destruction. Found in Iceland.
FSM - A Fish like flying-God believed to be the creator of universe.
Zeus - The king of all Gods. Found in Grece and in its colonies (Syria).

Babylon & Assuryan Gods: BAAL, Ayzuz, Ashtaret etc. These Gods were attributed to the highest degree of powers among all other Gods.

But...all Gods/Goddesses vanished with their cultures & societies! The realm of myths also vanished! Hence only Names are found in history.
We never discuss these Gods just use them as a reference??

There is no God but one God who has No Name, No Shape, No Likeness! This is a simple criteria to distinguish a True God and a False God!

Read 4 line defination of God.(Al-QURAN; Sura Ikhlas; Ch. 112:01-04).

The NAME told to Moses in Torah " I AM WHAT I AM ".-Means NO NAME!

God created all religions to address the needs of the societies and create Peace & Harmony among humanity. Religion teaches respect of each human and creates universal brotherhood and sense of security. This motive has no harm !!

A believer believes in God due to the spiritual Witnessess of prophets - the choosen one - from Adam to Jesus and Muhammad (pbuh)!

An unbeliever has no evidence about non-existance of God while a believer has 124,000 Witnesses of the prophets of God! Motives and victories of many prophets are written in the Holy Scriptures which cannot be denied!!

In spite all of this a believer is in a Win-Win position and unbeliever is in a Win-Lose! If God exists the unbelievers would be the Loosers!

We cannot depend on science, its experiments or its theories because it cannot address the needs of our modren societies to maintain peace & harmony.

Atheism has no Rule or Code of Conduct which could bring peace & harmony in this world. Atheist never talk about these things because they don'y have it yet???

The only way that atheism could be disproven would be if the existance of a god was proven.
Not only has it not happened yet but it will not happen in the future

A lot of good those ancient gods and goddesses did, huh? WHere are they now? If you want to believe in tree spirits and frost giants and eight-armed goddesses with animal heads, fine.

wow really so you can prove there is in fact a god? I'd love to see and hear this proof. You don't have it so just close the mouth saying that you can disprove someone beliefs.

Grins...... That's a non-falsifiable hypothesis ie a semantic null set. It's not even wrong, it's meaningless and not worth discussion
