Yes I nearly ran into two of them last week, just on the outskirts of my village. They must have been rolling in mud as they were totally brown, funny thing they seemed to have more than one horn. Sorry I did not get the chance to measure their horns, but at least 12 inches.

Unfortunately the Unicorns left this world as majik lost its rule over it. In the time when majik did still rule this dimension and Unicorns, dragons, centaurs, and the such did exist however, it was typical for the horn of a unicorn to be about 3/4 the length of the creatures head from nose tip to top of the skull so it varied with the size of the unicorn herself. There were naturally differences and some had longer or shorter horns, but typically that was the length. And not all were spiral.
Do not believe the stories about only being approachable by virgin girls either, it only required a pure heart. They really didn't care about your sexual experience. The story came about because when truth became legend, people had begun to believe that sex somehow corrupted therefore the only ones pure of heart were virginal women (as no man is ever pure of heart lol).

I spotted a unicorn while holidaying in France a number of years ago. Still looking for mushrooms though! Its horn was a bit blurred as I'd drunk an awful lot of cheap red wine. Hope this helps.

Not while picking mushrooms but afterwards while eating them...unicorns, dancing trees, singing cars, a talking vaccumm cleaner and the weirdest Frank Zappa movie I can hardly remember. What a night!

You won't see a unicorn just by picking mushrooms, you have to cook and eat them or dry them and smoke them. Then it's possible you might see a unicorn and possibly one with wings which takes you into fantasy lands.

It's not just humans who have strange experiences on magic mushrooms.
The myth of flying reindeer came from the local people of Lapland where every year in the Spring their reindeer eat in the forests and the locals see them bouncing around like crazy and taking great leaps thinking that they can fly!!
