I believe intuition or gut feeling is entirely natural. We pick up on information that is not easily attributed to one of our five senses.
When the Holy Spirit communicates with us, it is different.
I’ve always had good intuition and I know it is not even close to what I experience with the Holy Spirit. There is a peace that you feel from the Spirit. There is also an element of surprise.
I fully appreciate that this sounds completely nuts to anyone who has never experienced it, but it is real.
Sometimes the Holy Spirit communicates by not communicating. I know that sounds strange but it can be like a deafening silence and you feel so abandoned that your only desire is to come closer to God. The end result is to feel closer to God and know that your faith is strengthened. But when it happens it can make you feel completely lost and miserable.

For me I almost hear a voice, see the idea in a kinda picture form, and intuitively know what's up. It really is impossible to describe a spiritual experience with human words. If it's happened to you, you know it, but can't really explain.

Yes when I dream, or my body shakes, or my ear shakes when bad news is coming my way on the phone, these are warnings to prepare for what is coming. even visions.
