A theory by definition is a thought or fancy as opposed to fact or practice.

A theory by definition is a hypothesis or conjecture. It can be defined as an educated guess.

A theory by definition is an idea, contemplation or opinion about something.

Most scientific theories regarding evolution cannot be accurately testable and therefore cannot be proven as absolute fact.

Have faith dear friend in God.

The Bible says : Hebrews 11:3 "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do not appear".

Colossians 1:16
"For by him(Jesus) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were made by him, and for him".

Have faith in God not scientific false opinions on life.

we stop using our imagination? I noticed Santa Clause got busted because someone stoped using their imagination. and I was wondering how many other stories of the imagination will get busted too. When I first started using imagination it was such a fun time for learning while i grew but then a group circled Santa and busted the bubble, now all that can be seen are the people behind that scene. Life really is a theator and everyone an actor.

Why is it that so many of you try to emulate the Prophet (PBUH) in every single way except in the treatment of women? Why do you let your culture take the lead when it comes to how your treat your wives and daughters? The Prophet (PBUH) cleaned his own mess, served himself his meals, helped with the housework that needed to be done, and never once said that it was the duty of a woman to cook and clean. The men of that time also cooked, and Abu Bakr would even teach other women that did not know how to cook. Why are you so able to pray the way he did, eat the way he did, and otherwise quote everything else, but ignore half of the deen? Do you think you are busier than him, who had the hardest duty of anybody by delivering the message and defending the ummah? And please don't give me that sorry excuse that you are only human, because you seem to excel in prayer so start excelling in how women are treated. What do you say?

This question is not aimed at any particular group or religion. I feel that this particular question is one important to all mankind. And so here I am asking for anyone to point out evidences they have for the existence of God (a being that created everything and yet is not created itself).

I'm pretty sure science teachers all accross America are faced with this :
Many eager little Christians, filled with religious doctrine, who are absolutely shocked when they start learning about Evolution.
How should a teacher respond to :
" But the Bible says we come from Adam and Eve and they were not APES!!"?
While I kinda recoil at the teachers going " Well, the Bible is wrong" (besides the whole angry christian parents demanding their resignation or lawsuits nightmares), I don't think they should lie either.
What do you think is the best, gentle professional way to deal with this dilemma?

i found that most people seem to think dutch and english are alike. i was wondering where this comes from. i myself am dutch, i speak fluent german aswell as english. and i personally feel dutch and english are nothing alike. theyre not even closely related as i found that english much more resembles french

ifact, gving it some more thought, i can only think of one dutch word that was adopted into english. Bulwark. and its not a word used daily.

on top of that, word order and grammer are nothing alike. english has a set word order, and set time expressions for certain conditions. dutch alows much more freedom in where to place words in sentances, and using different time conjugations in dutch might not make a difference.

where do brits get the idea that dutch is similar to english?

supposing for a moment that the rapture actually WAS real, would it necessarily be a bad thing for human civilisation? Kent Hovind, Pat Robertson and their ilk would magically disappear. Wouldn't this be heaven on earth? Would it really be that bad?

the Omega, the beginning and the end, you believe that is speaking about Jehovah God , right?..If this is the case then how to you explain Rev. 1:17-18..which says "When I saw him, I fell at his feet, as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. (18) I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! I hold the keys of death and Hades." If you believe that the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end is speaking of God..How do you explain this scripture , unless Jesus is God..as God has never died. Right?

How can you say even a TRANSLATION of the bible is divinely inspired when there is no such thing as a perfect/direct translation. Bear in mind that King James also is likely to have had some sort of political agenda. Do you really think he had no say in what was translated, in the context of Protestant v. Catholic? How can you call a translation of a work divinely inspired, regardless of the nature of the work translated? Besides, everyone knows that there are errors of translation in this work; people didn't have the knowledge of Greek and Hebrew that we have today. 'Divinely inspired' translation? How?!

The question was tounge in cheek. I do not beleive if Jesus realy lived that he was White in fact it would be highly unlikely.

If though he did and was not white and was only depicted as white for the early western worlds ideas that whites were superior.

Would Christianity be the religion it is today if Jesus and his deciples had been depicted as dark skined individuals ?

For example: Gnostics, Messianic Jewish, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and the various universalistic faiths who regard Jesus as an avatar, boddhisattva, etc... Why don't you just swallow your pride and accept them as fellow truth seekers, God worshippers and veneraters of Jesus? It would make more sense than all this division and hatred. Being a fundamentalist doesn't give you a monopoly on truth, does it?
