What evedinces can you give for the existance of God?

This question is not aimed at any particular group or religion. I feel that this particular question is one important to all mankind. And so here I am asking for anyone to point out evidences they have for the existence of God (a being that created everything and yet is not created itself).

Just thought I should add that even though I am trying to be objective... I do believe in God. This isn't a question so that I can be talked into believing. I just wanted to possibly grow in faith as I read all of your wonderful answers, thank you!

And just to correct one of my answerers... evidences is the correct spelling and usage of the word in my question, lol. Do you spell much?

suppose u encounter a spaceship which no one has seen and no one knows where it has come from,if someone comes and asks you 'who do you think knows the mechanism of this spaceship?'what wud b ur answer?
you wud say that it is the "manufacturer"or the"creator"or the "maker" it wud b somewhat close to these which i've mentioned.ok keep that aside.
now,today science tells us that the earth is 'spherical' not 'flat' as was considered b4.who do you think could have mentioned it 1400 years ago, in THE QURAN.
today science tells us about the water cycle,that the water in the sea evaporates forms clouds,clouds are blown with the wind,and later the clouds lead to rainfall.who could have mentioned this entire mechanism 1400 years ago in THE QURAN.likewise quran speaks about various such scientific facts and mechnisms related to this universe which are discovered and being discovered recently in the modern science.who could have mentioned all this ,but THE CREATOR ,the lord almighty.for further info. refer www.irf.net.hope this is the answer to all ur questions..inshallah.

Motion Exists. Motion can only be caused by other forms of motion. If you go back far enough you will find a primary unmoved mover. This is God.

Proving God exists is sort of like trying to prove you exist on the internet. If I never saw a person before, you could give me all kinds of 'evidence' of your existance, but I could dismiss every bit of it as not being of substance. Then, conclude that since I have never seen you, you are more likely to be a computer generate phenomenon than another thinking being.

First of all, your question is phrased from the point of view of the scientific method which will never permit the evidence those who believe have. This is understandable and only logical so you can't be faulted at all.

The evidence I have comes from a lifetime of small things, for the most part. There's only been a few instances of direct divine intervention which I've noticed in my life that stand out.

I won't try to convince anyone of anything but I would like you to understand that we who believe whole-heartedly are, for the most part, perfectly aware of logic, science, and the other options out there.

Just what more proof than you need than the holy scripture? God is awesome, he made me have faith and joy inside like no other. God's not invisible, he;s standing right next to me, and simple things we do everyday prove he is real. For instance, breathing, animals, water, etc., ect., God is there, trust me, and have faith. You know the saying, Faith as tiny as a mustard seed can move mountains.

Then realize that within you lives an actual spirit; and though your body is mortal and has come from the seed of a man your 'spirit' did not come from any man.

Where did your spirit come from? ('Spirit can only come from Spirit'. - Read the Gospel of John; especially, ch. 3).

However, you can find a lot of evidence that gods are man-made. You only have to look into each religion's history to see that each god has a human origin. Also, you can look into the study of human nature to see how easily we create myths, superstitions, urban legends, and religions.

I never heard of any smashing evidence. I dont think there is anything that can proove either that He exists or not. For me, believeing comes from passed events in my life that would not mean something special to others, but they meant for me. It makes me be a believer, but i would never try to stick my beliefs down other people's throats, especially since it's nothing you can proove

All you have to do is look at a puddle. See how perfectly god made the hole that the puddle sits in. God makes the hole in the exact shape of the puddle. Not a millimeter too small or too big. The odds of that happening by random chance are astronomical.
