Saw a response by Tony F to an innocent question, and was inspired to ask this question.
I like many transvestites, it just seemed an interesting question to ask.

Cell-phones

Beepers...

I-Pods...

E-Mail...

Computers...

Internet...

Have these and other gadgets actually enslaved us to them, or do we actually live more fulfilling lives than ever before?

"I pledge allegiance to the Christian Flag and to the Saviour for whose kingdom it stands.

One brotherhood, uniting all Christians in service and love."

O.K. a little turned off by the brotherhood wording...sounds a bit like KKK...

Also, isn't pledging to a Christian flag...a bit like idolatry?

Kinda like an exclusive, club's pledge...

Again, this is stuff that was crammed down my throat as a little kid in Sunday School and Bible School....do churches still use such dialogue and archaic ways of teaching.

If you read the Gospels, John the Baptist was preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
Jesus Himself proclaimed the Good News of God.
He said, "The Kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the Good New."

Christians are followers of Christ, we continue to spread the Good News.

I don't understand how non-believers take this as shoving Christianity down their throats.
We are not holding anyone down, twisting their arms making them listen.

I sorry, but as a Christian I can't help but tell of what Jesus has done for us.

but what christians often dont understand is that "theory" is the highest status a scientific idea can get.
Gravity has never been "proved" in the sense that you demand from evolution. Yes, Gravity is "only a theory".

this is partly what is so good about science. i.e it is not dogmatic.

As many people have pointed out, the Romans kept meticulous records of those they crucified.

With there being no record of anyone called Jesus getting nailed to a tree, isn't the whole christian faith built on a lie?

As one answerer kindly pointed out, by the time the gospels were written, from a historical perspective, it would be like trying to write the history of world war 2 today, but with no hoistorical records to go by, just hearsay.

Add to that, the political motivation that drove the writing of the gospels, and the credibilty is looking a bit sad.

Are christians aware of this lack of credibility?

are they still considered an atheist? I just formed a relationship with my personal version of god. I call it "The Great Ideal", but it has also known to man (translated into English) as "Reason" and "Reality" since the dawn of time. It IS all knowing, and all powerful, simply because it is all things. It isn't all loving though. Reality can be harsh.

It states that all of creation came about through means that are perfectly understandable through advancing scientific inquiry, and that human life is an experience meant to be enjoyed to the fullest without adversely impacting the lives of others. It will reveal more in the future. It's working through me and many others to end all religions, especially the ones that claim it has ever told anyone to kill anyone because of beliefs.

So my question is, since I have a personal god, but don't believe it can be personified, amI still considered a godless Atheist?

Don't bother with threats of damnation, my god says that isn't true.

Is that why a child of 8 can give advise and help to 22 year with words far beyond their age?
Is that also the reason why generation X is always trying the stsyem and feel that they should be born in different time period?

You guys say that Christians rule everything and shove our laws down your throats.
Last time I checked, evolution is still taught in school. That's your belief system and if we had our way, it wouldn't be taught as fact.
Gay rights: again, last time I checked, majority rule and if people (christians or not) were to decide they were okay with gays marrying, it would be done ( like that ultra liberal Massachussets).
Abortion: still legal...if we ruled, it wouldn't be.
Now tell me again, how are YOU not getting your voice heard?
Count your blessings you're not living in Saudi Arabia.

For the sake of argument, let's say an asteroid has been spotted on an absolute certain collision course with Earth. It's enormous. Large enough to end all life on this planet. All attempts to avert the impending collision have failed. The clock is ticking. What would you spend your remaining time doing....or thinking about?

Jesus(pbuh) testified that he never claimed to be God but a creature of God and his relation to God is the same as any other man.

1- that there is none good but God
2- That he is no more than a messenger of God
3- That he doesn't have all things into his hand but only God who gives
4- That he has no power on earth and he can of him own self do nothing.

Where did this info come from??? THE BIBLE:

(John 20:17, Mark 10:18, Mathew 20:23,John 17:3, John 5:30)

Folks I just want to make you think for a sec.... If Jesus was indeed God how come he did not know when the world wold end? Why would he pray to himself? Why did he say father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing? Why did he not say I am the trinity worship me? - As the bible claims?

Only one logical explanation for this - Jesus (pbuh) is not God.

I am not trying to offend anyone I am just trying to get you to use your brain and understand that what you are trying to explain to me is not logical!
