Is that why a child of 8 can give advise and help to 22 year with words far beyond their age?
Is that also the reason why generation X is always trying the stsyem and feel that they should be born in different time period?

Yes, I believe old souls do exist. These children have souls that have had more lifetimes, more experience and are therefor more evolved spiritually. Some people are calling theses children, indigo because their spiritual energy is much higher. They are often times getting diagnosed with ADHD because they don't fit within the norms of our culture. I know 2, maybe 3 children that are old souls. They are amazing beings to be around.

Sometimes. I have been told my whole life I have an "old soul" which always makes me laugh since I'm pagan.
I think yes there are some old souls wandering the world. That doesn't make them any less childlike. I can be down right stupid sometimes and I'm 28. Doesn't make me too young or too old. The soul is a funny thing.

To answer your question, no I don't.

Any 22-year old who would listen to the advice of an 8 year old is to be pitied.
For Generation X to always be "trying the system" and feeling like they should have been born in a different time period is just evidence of the prolonged adolescence and narcissism of their particular generation.

I am an old soul... and yes, sometimes kids see the world differently than adults. We tend to cloud reality with our perceptions and make things more complicated than they really are. Sometimes kids see the easy way to do things, but we don't because we layer problem after problem on top of whatever it is we're looking at. Once we learn to take a breather , relax and enjoy life, we realize that most things aren't nearly as serious as we make them. At that point, we can all become old souls.

Interesting perception!
My opinion is yes.

There are old Souls in young vessels.
There are young Souls in old vessels.
Souls are timeless and ageless, yet this as perceived in time and space, creates something the mind is incapable of understanding.
Everyone is born in the appropriate time period.
The only thing different concerning Souls, is the "Wisdom",
that they have accrued during their sojourns.

I don't think they are actually old souls. Although, my son who is 6 years old, is amazing. Sometimes he can say the most profound things and really open my eyes to something. . .I think it is their innocence. Of course there are the times he says the most ridiculous things. . .but even then the laughter heals my soul. Children are a precious gift.

Yes that is very likely in many children. I have a son with an old soul and I knew it when he was very young.

All souls were created at the same time or at least in very close proximity, their are those that are more intelligent and insightful then others in certain areas..........we all have our own personal Genius.........seek it out!
