A love story about two Gay men serving in the military, under the Don't ask Don't tell policy. I would go to see that, it would need to have some comedy, romance and tragedy as well.

I don't think this has been covered - I'd like to see something about Verlaine and Rimbaud. But just don't call it, "I'm Always Chasing Rimbaud." :o)
A really dreary musical could be about Alice & Gertrude, if you really want to punish the audience. "Love is love is love only when there is a there there."
EDIT - FYI, there already is choral music about Jonathan and David. Ask any gay men's chorus.

Ha, awesome. Someone should do a musical of romeo and juliet with mercutio having a chrush on romeo. I think that's the way it is in the actual play, just not explicitly, and that's why mercutio lashes out at tybalt and talks so bitterly of love. mercutio can't have romeo, it's so sad.

Um, we could do an all Drag cast for "The Story of Ruth and Naomi!"
I would SOOOO pay to see that!!
Or what about a musical number called: "Kiss me, Kill me" the brutal murder of Barry Winchell.

I don't really know...But a snappy musical about Yahoo Answers in its entirety comes to mind. Or is that already too much theatre?
