Have these and other gadgets actually enslaved us to them, or do we actually live more fulfilling lives than ever before?

I am not a slave to any of them....ouch!, ok master.

* Cell-phone: have one, can't get a signal at home though.
* Beepers: nope
* I-Pods: nope, have a cd player with a radio
* E-Mail: Have four web-based email addresses and 1 at work.
* Computers: Have a 7 year old computer and laptop at home.
* Internet: At work: yes, At home: no
All in all, I'd say no. I love my computer, no viruses and froze 4 times in 7 years and laptop still has early operating system so kids can play old cd roms. Both are Apples. Recently upgraded the phone, but still no signal at home, have to use (gasp!) a land line.

no. i have a cell, ipod, a computer, and email address, and i use the internet.
