I know this sounds like a loaded question but it is not meant that way. I need this to try and make a point in another question that I will post in a little while...so please bear with me.

I was born with a malformation on my brainstem. As a result, I have facial paralysis and some visual problems. My disability is somewhat noticeable to others, depending on how long you look at me. People have on occasion asked me about it. My friends and I disagree on whether it is out of line. Personally I'm not really bothered. I feel that if it starts a dialogue it's a good thing. What is your opinion on this?

Hiya,
how many religions is there in the world? (or how many is there of known religions?)

and why do you think so many people believe in different religions?, is it due to different cultures etc?

i just wish, people who have been around since the first days of when those religions started, had seriously passed on exactly what happend those days (why wasn't there cameras lol back then, or video machines, so then people could see with there own eyes, and believe from there heart and sole, and never question a thing about all the different religions)

satan is evil and will fool anyone and blind them from the truth. Jesus is our Lord and soon comeing King. Have faith in Jesus and don't listen to satans lies. satan don't want you in heaven. he wants u in hell with him. Jesus loves you all! Praise Jesus for He is Holy and more powerful then satan. Do you find it annoying, for a Jehovah person knocking at your door, so they can hand you "stuff" about their religion? Has a Jehovah ever stoped you in a parking lot, just to hand you something about their religion? Do you think, they should not be allowed to do this? What is your opinion?

6 of us were dining in a nice upscale, moderately expenisive restaurant last Saturday nite. We were seating at 9, a family with 2 kids seated near us 15 minutes later. Our conversation was not loud, but we didn't whisper either. We were talking about our friend who couldn't get "la1ded" and other adult things.. like who's dating who. etc.
The father of the 2 kids boldly asked up to keep our conversatoin "less adult". because he had kids (it's now 10pm). I told him that we had a right to whatever conversation we wanted.. we didn't use crass or dirty words and were'nt' descriptive. He' was clearly annoyed. Conversation at the next table was about someones apparent boob jobs.. The man was livid.

Isn't there a time and place were kids just DON'T belong. It's 10pm Saturday nite. Our bill came to nearly $1000, I would hope that we could talk about anything we wanted without being PC. We weren't being rude or loud, and management never stepped in.
Am I wrong.

we christians always talk frm bible , we say the verses ''seek and you shall find "" etc....... we only know God through our heart never seen never heard personally ,....... and we feel God only when we r away frm sin.............wont the people who follows islam also have those feelings ... millions follow it ..... they all cant be fools .... like us christians they also may be feeling God in their hearts ..........or is it all this faith just a state of mind .......... ?

sperm, would you still have been the same person in spirit?

I know that only 1 egg at a time is sent, but what was it about that one egg or what was it about that particular sperm that gave you your spiritual self?

The usual christian argument for all suffering in the world goes as follows:

People have free will.
People choose to follow their free will to do harm out of selfishness.
This results in suffering.

So, if there is no suffering in heaven when all people follow God, do not sin anymore, do not lie, use God's name in vain or what not, do they still have free will? What do you think?

I noticed a question about spanking on here, and several people quote the Bible, saying, "Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child." So, my question is, if people can use the Bible as justification for spanking or corporal punishment, why can't people use it as justification for say, Crucifying criminals, or sacrificing their children to show their faith? It all seems very convenient to be able to pick and choose parts of the Bible to justify your personal agenda.

I mean, you could have a kid and they might not find true salvation in time? What if they go through one of those "finding themselves" periods before they accept Christ,, and that period coinsides with the rapture?

Why would you risk producing a child who is doomed to eternal torture?

Just wondered if any one on this part of the Yahoo Answers site had actually read the christian bible ?
The first two questions I saw one mis-quoted the lords prayer, the second ask if god had wrote the bible.
