I love people I love being around all kinds of people it doesn't matter as long as there not starting some racial BS. I'm white I have friends from several races and some times we talk about the differences in our cultures and heritages but always with an open mind towards each other. That being said in my generation I seem to run into far more prejudice minorities than I do white. And when I say prejudice I mean if I open my mouth to defend my color (like I could help it) then I 'm a terrible racist but their not when their the ones bashing whites in the first place. Do we see a double standard here? Their are collages just for minorities but if there is a school claiming to be just for whites were racist. Their are funds like the NAACP just for blacks but if white people did the same we would be racist and have to open it up to include everyone. those are my problems with racism is that if your a minority you can have "special things" but if you white you have to include everyone on everything or your racist

I believe that prejudice comes from ignorance and fear. I am not prejudice at all. Part of it was the way I was raised (my parents did a few things right) and part was the realization that we ARE all created equally.
I don't believe that children become prejudice on their own. I believe this is a taught behavior. As such it would be very easy to erase all the prejudice in the world.

I'm prejudiced against prejudiced people.
I think it's rediculous. I have friends of all ethnicities...I don't even like the word "race". That implies that whomever you're speaking about is something other than human.
"People are people
So why should it be
You and I should get along so awfully
So we're different colours
And we're different creeds
And different people have different needs
It's obvious you hate me
Though I've done nothing wrong
I've never even met you so what could I have done
I can't understand
What makes a man
Hate another man
Help me understand
Help me understand
Now you're punching
And you're kicking
And you're shouting at me
I'm relying on your common decency
So far it hasn't surfaced
But I'm sure it exists
It just takes a while to travel
From your head to your fists"
Lyrics for "People are People" by Depeche Mode, one of my favorite songs.

I have been accused of being 'ethnocentric'. I find that use can be hollow. It came from a criticism of militancy and politics in Pakistan and Palestine. In an assignment, I suggested that a separation of religion from the state and democracy would benefit Pakistan, since the lack of democracy was encouraging militancy. My prof overlooked the article's topic, which involved civilian demonstrations in favour of democracy. I was accused of 'pushing Western culture on them', being 'derisive, judgmental and ethnocentric', and 'too opinionated about their behaviors'. I did not understand 'the cultural values of militancy' in Pakistan and Palestine.
I would have to conclude that she is the racist and not myself. She is engaging in politically-correct racism. Are Pakistanis not deserving of democracy? Is she making false accusations against me because I blame their government and politics for their problems? Why would cultural totalitarianism be justified? Agreement to this way of thinking means that as humans we overlook what is happening in the Sudan, what the Russian military has done to Chechens and what has happened in Somalia. It is wrong to stereotype and cultural totalitarianism leads to stereotyping and the justification. of ignoring human rights violations. It is as if people have decided in the name of political correctness to deny certain groups human rights. Under colonialism, they weren't people, especially Africans. We did not see them that way. Now, in the name of culture, are we supposed to ignore the plight of HIV victims in Africa, along with apartheid and civil war? People have chosen racism over cultural reform.
If I were to see Palestine as a place that 'valued terror culturally', I would basically be claiming that they all supported it or engaged it. I don't agree with the militants and realize it maintains the occupation but I am just acknowledging a segment of the population here. To deny that poverty can be a factor would be erroneous when dealing with Iraq or Afghanistan. However, some of the leaders of these groups are well-educated, well-travelled and have a lot of money. Some have lived and travelled in the West. So poverty cannot always be a factor. Political correctness can be racist by generalizing, looking at people as victims and suggesting that it is not their culture. If it is not culture, then what is it? Race? Religion? Nationality? Isn't it racist to blame race? It is the condition. It is better to aknowledge a problem in culture than to engage in the three alternatives: racism, denial or indifference.

No I'm not predjudice and the reason why is because "Allah"
has revealed (The Holy Quran) to mankind that we (all human beings on earth)all decended from the loins of our father Adam (peace be upon him) The very first man that "Allah" created and then the rest of us he says he "created from a drop of sperm, then a leech like clot and then clothed it with flesh and bones" . And in knowing that, It also helps me to look at every other human being as my distant blood relation no matter what country he or she is from, even if they are the most racist of racist people. If you read the Quran you will eventually run across a verse where "Allah" says that One of his most beautiful signs is that he created us in a variety of colours as he does fruits and vegetables. Im sorry that I cannot tell you the exact chapter or verse but if you take the time out to read it, you will see it.
So it makes no sense to be predjudice if we all come from the same 2 parents (Adam & Eve). And with "Allah's" help and Guidance I'm more Understanding towards a racist or a predjudice person's ignorant character or conduct because they truly don't know who they are or where they come from and if they did, they would see other races of people as distant blood relatives and not an inferior race of human beings. I use to be a lil predjudice back in the day but thanks to "Allah" I now look at people the way that he has instructed us to do so.
Why hate someone who is a diferrent colour or have a different grade of hair than my own when we all have the same identical blood of our father "Adam" flowing thru our veins?

Well Rodney King," we all can get along" and I myself at one time was prejudice but as I grew closer in Chris and realized that we all are created in his image I shed my prejudicial robe and dawned a new one that wasn't tainted with the prejudicial values of my relatives and friends...
