Considering overpopulation in some areas, shortages of resources, all of the orphans who need homes, etc.

Shouldn't you adopt or have no children at all?

I know all about 'be fruitful and multiply,' but those were different times and I doubt our world today was being considered.

It seems a little selfish to me to have children when there are so many out there already. The child doesn't care because it isn't born yet, so it's really about you and your desires, even if it's the idea of bring another being into existence.

Just curious about how you think about this matter...

I have been trying to meditate and really make an effort to hear the spirits that roam the world. I haven't known anyone personnally with a haunted home or have felt they can hear the spirits, so I've been searching the web for help but haven't come across much. Paranormal phenominon is so interesting to me and I know it's real. I did buy a Ouaji Board but never used it for fear of contacting dangerous forms of afterlife because I had heard that is what they attract. I'm truly hoping this can be learned and not that you can only communicate if you are born with the ability. I know this is a touchy subject and many people feel it's silly or that there is no such thing but I am a typical mid-aged suburban mother of two with curiousity to hear the spirit world around me. Can you help?

if you have truly read the bible you can not deny the genocides that God commits
2 main examples
the flood kills everybody in the world except for Noah his family and a thew others
the destruction of Sodama and Gomorrah 2 entire cityes
completly destroyed
not to mention the fact that he creats and lets evil exist
so if God would exist he should be in hell whith Satan

there is a book
it says that the universe is created by a monster that is made out of spaghetti.
everything in the book is true because it says "everything in this book is true".

it may sound far fetched, but you must have absolute faith in the spaghetti monster, dont worry about logic.

if you are not convinced that this story is true, you will boil forever in a bowl of pasta sauce.

I'm a high school art teacher, an out lesbian and in a good long term relationship. A 17 year old girl in my class came out to me and subsequently fell in love with me. My problem is that, after coming out, she stopped working in my class. She turns up drunk at my house when she knows my partner is not home. Her parents have threatened legal action and because of my position and 'out' status, i'm at the losing end.
I try to get her cooperation, but the more i engage, the less concerned she is about her work. I've tried ignoring her, but it does not work either. She only goes out of the way to get my attention, and then rubs it in my face. She has loads of talent and i don't want to force her to take another subject.
I am the only gay teacher at a very conservative school in South Africa.
HELP!

Hello, I used to listen to all types of music. My favorite was 60's psychodelic music. I am 26. I have been a Christian for a long time but a couple of months ago I stopped listening to any music but Christian music because I was trying to feel my head with positive things like it talks about in the bible. And I love Christian music. But, now if I listen to any music besides the Christian music i feel guilty. Like I am betraying God or something. I know it sounds silly. I don't know why I allow myself to feel guilty.

claimed that god gave me a bunch of golden plates in an ancient american language, then translated them (again claiming that i'd done it all COMPLETELY correctly), then started a church based on these plates, (oh, did i mention, were taken back by an angel so no one can see them now). If i did all that, would you not only join my church, but

1)pay 10% of all your income
2)Have multiple wives, or be one of many multiple wives
3)wear magic underwear
4)perform masonic temple rituals, etc.

Would you do all that?

I've recently been receiving visions from our Lord Jesus Christ and he told me that I need to go out amoung his people and preach His holy word. I've told my parents this but they don't believe me and say that I am being "blasphemous." I asked them if it was blasphemous when Moses told pharaoh to let my people go or for Paul to spread the good word to the world and they only get madder. How can I convince the world that I am the next prophet sent by God to save the world from wickedness if I can't convince my parents? I am a prophet of the Lord endowed with the power of the Holy Spirit. So how can I get others to believe me?
