I don't think so. Yes God did trigger two genocides but I do not think they were without merit. When God flooded the Earth the first time I think the people were actually better off dead. They were living sickening lives devoid of all goodness whatsoever. When Sodom & Gomorrah (sp) were destroyed, important people were at the mercy of its citizens and God needed to set an example to future depraved people of the world. (Not saying this was a threat to homosexuals or saying they're bad people, I'm talking the rapists and killers in the city).
This is just my humble opinion though, not set in stone fact. As for God letting evil to exist He has to give us a choice. What better of an option than good or evil? Again, just my thoughts.

You are living out 1 very important thing. If YOU have read the Bible then you would know that God is just. God by being the Creator had every right and still does to judge His creation. The Flood was brought on because the thoughts of men and there actions where completely evil. God judged the earth. You can say what you want about this but God is Just and Rightly judges all things. I praise God that He sent His Son Jesus Christ into this world so that our sins can be forgiven.

He is the potter we are the clay,,
What He made,,He can take away.
God created the world,, He created man, not to live sinful, evil, twisted lives, but to worship Him. He gave Sodom and Gomorrah opportunity to change neither did,,
God was terribly sorrowful after what he did,,the flood,,He promised never to do that again.
God doesn't LET evil exist, He doesn't control every ones every move like a puppet. It's called sin and free-will. The devil/satan is at work on earth,,Christians are warned and know of this evil. If He did do away with this evil,,you'd be complaining about Him doing that too, ya did about Sodom and Gomorrah,,now that was two sinful evil cities.

First, I agree with your question. It is very valid. However sometimes perspective is in order. If you mold something from clay and then you smash it to create something better, as the creator did you destroy your creation or did you just start over? If you have a Dog and it bites you what do you do? I know this is a loose answer. However, IF God is real and he did create us, do we or can we question that which is beyond our understanding. Think, If you were God what would you do? If you were eternal how would you think? So the point is you pose a human perspective question to a perspective we can not understand. Like you though, I ask the same thing all the time. The real question is are you looking for justification for God or yourself?

Please, stop the drama..God does not commit murder man does. God is a just God and is perfect in all His ways. You my friend speak out of ignorance of God's Word.
Go back and read the Bible from cover to cover in detail form and do a little more research and less talking, before drawing such a conclusion.
Don't bother to tell me you have.... it is fully impossible to come up with that if you truly did your research.

Lets take your reasoning just one step further and say God kills because benevolence or kindness toward others doesn't exist in that Society, which may explain why Iraq is in such turmoil now!

Be careful what you say where God is concerned.Remember all he allowed to happen. It could bite you in the butt for saying things.God didn't create sin - it was man .
Get your heart straight with God and you wouldn't ask things you really couldn't handle the truth on.

God created man and gave him free will. In the case of Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah, man's free will to make choices was what did them in. Evil exists only through man's free will. We are free to chose the path of good or evil.

Comming from an atheist i can see your confusion in the matter. There is absolutly no point in arguing with you about this or to waste time getting into detail because you wouldnt understand.
so ill just leave you with this thought
God made all things, your trying to put him on the same level as humans or even satan. He is not. He is Holy and devine. Most just want God to be loving and compasionate and gentle. He is these things but he is also much much more.

God is the One who created us...if he wants to take us away from this earth then that is His right!.......he destroyed those cities & the world(other than noah & family) because they were WICKED...God does NOT belong in hell, how could a god who sent his son to die for us and who saves us and gives us so many wonderful promises and blessings belong in hell????God also DOESNT create evil....He lets evil exist so that us christians can build our relationship with Him thru trials and evil ppl will be punished wen they die because they will be seperated from him for ETERNITY!!!!!!!
