Hey LDS Mormons If God Himself doesn't know of any other gods, how could the Mormons know of millions of gods?
“ Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ‘ I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God. (Isaiah 44:6)
Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one. (Isaiah 44:8)
Aslo see Isaiah 45:5; 45:14; 45:21; 45:22; 46:5; 46:9; 43:10 all of these verses say there is only one God
Yet part of the mormon doctrine of God is the belief that every male mormon can become a god himself? joseph smith said, " You have got to learn to become gods yourselves the same as all gods before you." Brigham Young said, " The Lord created you and me for the purpose of becoming gods like himself. We are created to become gods like unto out father in heaven.

Just cause they weren't found doesn t mean they weren't here.
There are no contradictions between the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Not that I have found. Now, perhaps there are contradictions between he Book of Mormon and your interpretation of hte bible.
This is how I look at it.
The Book of Mormon was originally written in what some call "reformed Egyptian". Joseph Smith was not fluent in that language, so he relied on the Spirit of God to help him.
Now, let's say that one of the words on the plates would literally translate to something like widgiedidgit. Now, what the HECK is a widgiedidgit? Well, it's made out of this stuff and looks like this, and, well, the easiest way to say it is steel sword, even tho that's n ot the precise translation. Close enough, and you don't have to waste so many words.

These "what if" questions grow tiresome. There is no conflict between the Bible and the Book of Mormon--they are both testaments of the divinity of Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer. The Book of Mormon is an easier and simpler set of scriptures that amplify all that the Bible has and more. The truth is, you haven't read the Book of Mormon and have seen what it is. You choose to discredit those scriptures because you'd rather believe the anti-Mormon crowd. Your stance is clear by your question that you pose.
Further, archaeologists are continuing to dig in the jungles of Central and South America for artifacts that prove the Book of Mormon peoples and their existence at that time. Bear in mind, the jungles grow over more quickly than a team of surveyors and archaeologists can move within it to establish their digs. Have you been in a jungle?
Working in jungles that grow faster than your hair is a laborious task.

I don't know which one I would go with.
Steel: "A bow of steel is broken by mine arms. — All the versions render this: “Thou hast made my arm like a brazen bow.” A bow of steel is out of the question. In the days of David it is not likely that the method of making steel was known. The method of making brass out of copper was known at a very early period of the world; and the ancients had the art of hardening it, so as to work it into the most efficient swords." (Adam Clarke Commentary, Psalm 18:34).
