People who believe in gods do so because they were brainwashed as children (known as early intervention).
This is child abuse.

Yes, I was missing hope.
Before I was a Christian, I had no hope. I saw life as one long thing that had no point. I accepted it, because that's what science told me at the time. However, I had no reason to live, and I was never really happy in life.
If I hadn't become a Christian, I would be dead right now because I would have ended my own life. However, I did become one, and now, I've seen that there is some scientific evidence that can support the Bible, and I've seen plenty of evidence to show that God exists.
Even if I'm wrong now, and God does not exist, I'll still believe this because if God does not exist, then I'm no worse off than before, but at least I'll be alive.

Yes; God himself. Life without him has no purpose. You might as well visit the zoo and give your relatives a banana. God is not only the creator of the universe and the soon and coming judge, but he is also our father who guides us and has a plan for our lives. He made a way to reconcile us to him while we were dead in our sins regardless of how far we may have strayed. He is also a choice we have to make; one of life or death. Besides, you would not want to spend eternity with a bunch of Christians, see God, and have eternal life, would you? The alternative is, simply put, an eternity separated from God and his love = hell. Your choice.
A rational person would chose the former.
Cheers,
Mr. M on "something good missing."

Yes there was a good explanation of how non-organic material could become organized information rich organic material by itself while all tests have shewn this simply doesn't occur and early earth environment would have been far too reducing for anything to exist by itself let alone assemble itself. No explanation of the origin of information in DNA/RNA. Also there is no explanation to account for what make something truly morally evil or good, just people's opinions which are exactly that their opinions but not a standard that can be used to demonstrate to anyone that this is authoritative.

No , nothing was missing .
A very few reason's I Believe............................
This planet,
the universe,
all of creation..........the animals,
flowers,
each smell, each taste, each color, each variety of trees and plants, the different fish in the sea,
the different foods each with their own make up of seperate nutrition and taste, each DNA , and **** countless other things make me know that None of that could have just evolved or been by accident. The human body and it's perfect design . There IS a creator ..GOD.
Learning His word also made me see Spiritually and I accepted His Truth. HE IS THE GREAT I AM, THE BEGINNING AND THE END. There is much more I could say.

Yeah, and that something good was God's presense in my life. Not that I didn't have fun as an agnostic, but to know the Creator for myself is far better than wondering. Maybe you don't feel like your life is lacking something important. But I garuntee if you try Christ you'll discover that there is more to life than you ever imagined. It's great to be on this side.

Yes. I had peace in my life missing, I had no direction in my life, but becasue of God, I have a purpose in my life and through the Holy Spirit of God, I became a better person all the way around. I don't know how, but that's God for you. I don't have all the answers, but this one thing I know that because of God, I can think clearly. God bless. Oliveoil

Something good in my past was taken from me that was god given or should I say divinely instilled. My belief in God is a divine being...and what was taken from me had nothing to do with divine beings...truly, human origins.

So you are implying that people believe in God because they have something missing from their life. Don't be such an arrogant human, humble yourself and realize that you may not know about everything that is going on.

Nope.
The question to which you're referring is a valid one. Some people who become atheists do so because something horrible happened to them, usually something having to do with religion or church. Please note I said "some" atheists.
