VERY!!!! Greatest lie satan ever convinced the world is that he doesn't exist.
Second to that is that he has no power.
Also, looking up the definition for TRUTH on wikepedia is like looking for the taste of pork in a muslim masque.
God cannot lie. Because if He did, as soon as the words came out of His mouth they would come to pass. And despite the unbelievers insisting that neither God nor the devil exists, they do. And one day they will bend their knees to Jesus.

Dude: Lies cannot abound in truth anymore than oil mixes with water. As for the old slufoot, he only has the power that we allow him to have in our lives, that is, if we live in obedience to God. Although the devil is an extremely powerful being by way of his God given abilities he has no right or privileges toward those who love God. Besides, he is already a defeated foe who shall get what's coming to him soon enough.
Cheers,
Mr. M on "devil."

God the Father is the Creator of satan so it would only stand to reason that he would have some power, the power to decieve people. The Word of the Lord tells us to rebuke satan and he will flee, yet some people, like witches, and the like play the devils games. Playing with tarot cards, amongst other things....I don't think God or the Lord Jesus Christ would suggest His followers to do such a thing...Christ as a matter of fact tells us to Love one another Even our Enemy. So for those of you who are witches, I pray the Lord will open your eyes to the Truth and by Gods Grace you will have the time to redeem your actions and call upon the name of Jesus.....

well u wanna know how powerfull the devil is....hes as stron as we let him be. yes it is true we are born into sin....however we (before Adam committed the first sin) were never part or around sin...we were not made to be in sin. Jesus came so we could overcome sin once again like we were supposed to. the devil had no power over what is God's. We have free will and can chose whatever we want.......either to be conformed by sin and controlled by the devil, or conformed by the word and learn from what God teaches us in the bible

In my religion he has no power at all. In fact we don't even believe in him.
We do believe that every human being has the capacity for evil within themselves. That it is a choice of that human being to act evil or not. That they are not forced by some deity called Satan, that it is a choice they make themselves.
I am a Wiccan. In our religion we do not believe in Satan or the Devil. We believe in free choice. Either you choose to act evil or not. But the choice is yours and yours alone.
In my religion we take personal responsibility for our actions and do not blame it on an outside entity or a devil. It would be easier to do that, but it would not be right.
So you ask how powerful is the devil. My answer is anything has power if you give it to the thing. So it has as much power as you give it.
I chose not to give it any power over me by not believing in it.

do not underestimate Satan. He is cunning and intelligent and know exactly how to appeal to different people. He uses different tricks to decieve different people, for we do not all fall under the chains of the same sin.
Satan knows his bible. satan knows the scripture. He can recite it by memory and will mix truths with half truths, and mislead many. For the bible tells us that Satan himself transforms into an angel of light!
Satan has all the power in this world. It was given to him. We cannot deny that he is the king on earth, and all is under his rule. But Jesus tells us that even Satan has to obey god! Satan cannot do anything unless god lets him. And Jesus gives us great power to cast out demons if we simply say, In the name of Jesus Christ, I cast you demon into hell!
We have all lived on earth for a mere 2 digit years. Satan has lived here from the beginning of mankind! He is old and knows the evil hearts of men, and what entices them. The greatest deciet and victory of satan of today is that satan has somehow managed to convince mankind that he doesn't exist!

The devil is described as the GOD of this world. So I would say he is more powerful than you or me. That is why we need Jesus to protect us and keep us on the right path so we don't fall into the devils grasp.

Apparently powerful enough to convince many Christians that they can judge others, that they can be Christians without reading their Bible, that they're supposed to believe in EVERYTHING out of faith without examining original texts and the history of their own religion, etc.
Powerful enough to deceive Christians into thinking they have the truth.

He is weak. His power comes from us giving him our power. He can tempt us, and when WE CHOOSE to follow him, we loose power and he gains it over us. When we stand fast against him, he has no power over us whatsoever.
Sort of like how alcoholism can't enslave you if you don't pick up the bottle to begin with.

More powerful than you and me. He is a spiritual being and can only be fought in the spiritual realm.
The only weapon we have against him is the Word of God.
If we try to fight him in the natural, we loose every time !!!
