Since I have been alive the Rapture was near..the rapture is the name given to an event in which all Christians living on earth are simultaneously transported to Heaven to be with Jesus Christ..So I know my children will not be left behind..
Matthew 24:36, where Jesus is quoted saying; "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone" ..
2 Peter 3:8-10 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.
So the real question is..ARE YOU RAPTURE READY??

First of all, all children are not held accountable for they're actions until they reach the "age of accountability" in which they know the difference between right and wrong and understand the principles of salvation.
That being said, once a child is at that age, then a parent is no longer responsible for "dooming them to eternal torture" as you like to put it. They are then responsible for themselves, and if they don't make the rapture, then that's on them. I believe every christian parent wants they're child to come to know Christ so that they can live in eternal glory one day, but it's up to that child to come to know Christ on they're own. I would definitely bring a child into this world weather the rapture is near or not. It'll be great to hear the Lord say "Well done" when my child enters into the gates of Heaven.

I'm not sure what you're calling the Rapture but if you are referring to the end of the world then you need to understand that when Christ comes there will be a thousand years that the earth will be at peace. People will still be here on earth and will still have the ability to choose whether or not they want to follow Christ. Of course we want to bring children to the earth. They need the chance to choose. They have a right to live as will as we do.

Jesus said "You did not choose me. I chose You". Accepting Jesus as a personal Savior or as Lord is not as important as Jesus accepting us as his brothers and sisters. Because His death and resurrection have already opened the gates of heaven(using the traditional terminology) then God who is outside of Time(the measure of change) can determine whether a child is eligible for glory. The Rapture idea only developed in the 19th century among those using the Darby/Scofield Biblical Commentaries. It was not the Faith of the Church from the beginning. All the "CLUES" that people find in the Bible actually refer to things that happened during the middle of the First Century when the world as the Forst Christians knew it came to an end. The Temple was destroyed in Jerusalem by the Roman Armies after existing on that site for 1000 years. The locals who had been beseiged in Jerusalem testified they had seen visions on the clouds as the end was approaching using much of the imagery from the Gospel accounts. The evils which were unleashed upon the world with the removal of the Temple were unparalleled and led to the persecution of the First followers of Jesus.
The Book of Revelation was interpreted by these First disciples as having to do with this ending of the Temple. We might like to consider our time to be more likely for the End of the World and thus forgo the privilege of bringing children to birth but the point the Scriptures makes is that we do not know the Day nor the Hour. We must live always ready to welcome the return of Jesus with our lamps lit and giving light. Jesus said "Let the Children Come to me."(Mark) No one who comes to me will I ever reject because it is to do the Will of My Father in Heaven that I have Come. (John) We must let God determine the best time for the world to end. The Rapture was very much on the minds of Americans in the 1840's when many Christian Churches organized in anticipation of dates determined by evangelists e.g the Disciples of Christ, Seventh Day Adventists. When the expected date came and nothing happened many people lost Faith in Christ having forgotten that he told his followers No One knows the Time, not the Angels nor the Son but only the Father. If we live confident that whatever we are doing pleases God then we are fulfilling our responsibility.

All children under the age of accountability will go in the rapture. I wouldn't want to bring a child into the world now because its corrupt and dangerous.

I think it is okay to have kids at any time withou bieng preocupied with the rapture. You know that salvation is only though christ. If you raise them to love the lord then i think they will be o.k. In the end it is up to the individual and God.

Hell, do you think it's right to produce kids period ? In these miserable times we live in, I think having kids should be a crime punishable by death. Isn't having kids these days like sentencing someone to death ?
And answering the question as to why people risk producing a child who's doomed .... it's because people who have kids ARE SO selfish they really dont give a damn about what's going to happen to their poor kids in the future. They just want to satisfy their animalistic wants -not needs- by having this child. Have a child now, think about it later. That's their principle.

the Christian truth is that you one can and will know when the "end" is near. As the Bible says" He will come like a thief in the night" there is no benefit in knowing when the rapture is. Live your life .
