The usual christian argument for all suffering in the world goes as follows:

People have free will.
People choose to follow their free will to do harm out of selfishness.
This results in suffering.

So, if there is no suffering in heaven when all people follow God, do not sin anymore, do not lie, use God's name in vain or what not, do they still have free will? What do you think?

Furthermore, if Lucifer defied God, he must have had free will. How is it that such a being would deny an omnipotent, omniscient, benevolent being?

Oh well...

Here's an amusing thought for you:

God made humans to be fallible screw-ups that get bored easily.

Most people can't handle their loved ones without bickering for more than a few days.

Most people swear when they stub their toes.

Most people play violent video games, watch movies that are violent, or read books that go against religion at some point.

Most people don't follow the bible perfectly.

You have 70 or so years to manage to make it to heaven...but can you even picture 500 more? Would you get a young or old body? Would you even get a body? Would God give you a few chances before throwing you into hell?

Eternity is a long time. Things will get boring. Satan was favored by God, and he turned away. When you get there, it will undoubtedly be so boring and aggravating that a week will be the max amount of time you can bear it-and then God will throw you in hell to be tortured for eternity by his favorite angel.

Hence why I'm atheist. Heaven makes no sense; it dooms us all to eventually get tortured.

This question goes away if you believe in predestination. Don't you think that God might know what He's doing if those He has chosen, have been His from before the foundation of the world, are lovingly brought unto Himself in spite of their sinful condition, and will enjoy Him forever in Heaven? If free will has to do with the ability to seek out God, and we do NOT have that ability, then He has already taken care of the entire situation

YES!!! That is why not everyone will go to heaven. Those who choose to follow God's laws here will continue to follow them there because they empower us. Those who choose not to follow all of His laws will not be in the presence of God for they would not be comfortable there.

God is not a dictator period, end of story. The dictator in the o.t. is not God, he is satan. Educate yourself, read the true account Jesus gave us in The Apocryphon of John.
