why is it more important that we impress people than God?

Some of my beliefs are Christian. According to the Belief-O-Matic quiz, if I answer questions a certain way, it says my top 3 closes matches are Mahayana Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism.

But if I answer them another way (just as truthfully) my top 3 matches are Liberal to Mainline Christian Protestant, Orthodox Quaker, Hinduism.

The reason I can answer them more than one way and still be telling the truth, is because I view things a little differently than the typical way I guess. So I could see it either way on some things.

So, if I consider myself just as much a Christian as a Hindu, (I consider myself maybe both somehow), can I answer those "Christian-only" questions?

*Remember....some, not all Christians.

When someone tells you they are going through a tough time in their life, do you just tell them to read the Bible and they will find the answers?

When someone asks a question, do you exclaim "Praise God!" then proceed to actually answer the question?

After you have told someone that you disagree with them and why (or even when you say a nasty remark to someone,) do you end your statement with "God bless you?"

I have a hard time believing that what people write on here is what would actually come out of their mouths if we were having a face-to-face conversation. I've never had a conversation where people do that, but it may happen.

So, let me know, do you speak like that to people in your life?

The best I could come up with was "Since light was created on the first day, and lightbulbs only on the fourth, there is no need for creationists to change a lightbulb". If you can do better, you'll get a best answer!

I'm actually teaching a religion and science course again in the Fall, so all jokes and humor related to religion and science are welcome!

I used to not eat them, but lately I have been. How bad is it to eat eggs if you are a Hindu?

What are all the reasons that many Hindus avoid eggs?

Thanks.

Love is All, is God, is One, is Both the Mother and Father, is Perfection and the Universe. Any lack thereof is not a thing, is a no-thing.
Light is the shadow of God, darkness is the absence of light. Evil does not exist, only the lack of God, of Love, of the sacred Balance.

Who here believes that our Lord God created us? And that He has a plan for each and every one of us? And that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on he cross to save us from our sins? And that He (Jesus) rose again on the Third Day? And that God Loves Us? And that all we need to do to become a Christian is to Believe this, and CONFESS our SINS, and to Trust God with our life? And to put our Faith in God, and to ask Him for forgiveness of our sins?... Who here is a Christian? I am! And I am not afraid to let EVRYONE know! Are you? God Bless You!

When non-belivers ask the question - Does God Exist?

Now, with there being many religions within and without Christianity that believe in a "god" Are these questions based in on a particular "god" or is it "a" god in general.

Others words; Are they asking for proof in the existence of "God" of the Holy Scriptures - The Bible.

...that when you question Christianity, a Christian will support their answer with Bible quotes, but if you try to prove a point with Bible quotes, they say you need to read the whole Bible to understand?

This was in reference to a question I read where someone was quoting Matthew to prove that Jesus and God are separate beings.
