Are you just asking this question to get a rise out of Mormons or do you really want to know?

Also, aren't all religious people "ignorant" in some way to what other religious people "know"? Fact: there is no factual knowledge in any religion, only faith.

Can't all you religious types just get along? I accept you all, why can't you accept each other? Why can't they blissfully believe that they are chosen, whether it is true or not?

LDS theology does not place Zion in Utah. The New Jerusalem will be in Missouri. Yes, Israel received promises. Those promises and new promises were extended to the restored House of Israel, that was restored with the true Church in 1830 to Joseph Smith and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

This what god said to say:

From the Reformed EgytpianTenth Article of Face-Saving:
10: We believe in literally scattering Israel throughout all nations and that all mankind, whether black or white, come from the tribe of Ephraim; that Zion is in Utah Valley or any other place where a Mormon of a pure heart can be found. Indeed, we may say that Zion can be found in the remotest, most God-forsaken corners of this world.

Reorganized Revisionist Version:
10: We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent or the Middle East; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory. We also believe that our blood may be miraculously changed to that of the Tribe of Ephraim.

'Fun' in Fundamentalism Revision:
10: We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the ten tribes; that Zion has already been built in Utah County, Utah; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisacal glory wherein men will be god-like and women will be silent, invisible and pregnant.

Mormon 4- Replacement theology is the belief that God has completely backed out of the promises He gave to Israel and has given them to someone else. It is a false doctrine and unfortunately a lot of religions, including some evangelicals, are falling for it.

God is still going to honor the covenants He made with Israel. We also need to remember, that in the Bible, God warned that any nation who is Israel's enemy if His enemy as well. Keep that in mind when you vote.

Zion is in Utah. Beautiful park. I loved hiking there with great friend who has since passed away.
I was out on Long Island last week and by the waters of Babylon I sat and wept when I remembered Zion. There on the poplars I hung my harp.

You are, of course entitled to your opinion. But actually, we believe that Zion will eventually be in Missouri, not Utah.

edit: You say BEWARE REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY. What do you mean when you say that?

Yes it's hard to believe and understand but most of the LDS is based on false doctrine. One good example is that these doctrines came straight from God and are infallible so they once believe that God condemn blacks by making them black so they all would have to go to hell. A new prophet heard from God and this doctrine changed. Who changed? It's so sad.

There's a lot of BULL-oney in a lot of religions - this is just one more example. However, don't you think it makes sense for them to say to increase their membership? A lot of religions do other very similar things. As for me, I am only a man - I'm not foolish or arrogant enough to assume that I know what God is thinking... whatever the heck "God" really is.

You obviously don't know much about the LDS/Mormon church, certainly not enough to be trying to start an argument with them.

They even think the Garden of Eden is in Missouri because some conman named Joey Smith said so!
