He is better than most, but should pull out of Iraq and go after Iran.

Antonio that's a nice name. My godson is named Antonio. I believe that President Bush did what he had to do after 9/11 to ensure the safety of our country. Anytime something happens during a President's tenure people blame it on him good, bad, or indifferent. If the next President has to face a crisis like 9/11 and I think that we will get hit again then the public will be divided over how it is handled. It's just human nature. I stand behind my President as an American. I stand behind my God as a Christian and as both I think he is doing the best he can under the circumstances. I am not a "so called" Christian I am a born again Christian and I am proud to stand up and say so. Have a great day.

I only became a Christian in December, so for the better part of Bush's service, I have thoroughly believed he is worst president we have ever had.
However, becoming a Christian has opened my eyes to the wonderous sovereignty of the Lord Jesus Christ. There isn't anything the Lord doesn't have firmly under His control. Bush is president because the Lord wants him to be in that position. It's clear throughout the Bible that the Lord raises up the leaders of nations. Do you believe He has stopped doing so? And do you believe a God, so filled with Lovingkindness would put someone in a position like that and then not guide the country through them?
More and more I respect the difficulty of leading this nation, so I have prayed for all the leaders of this nation. I believe they will make right and wise choices - collectively and individually to lead this country - not because they are in themselves good - no one is, except Christ. I believe this because the Lord works through them. I have not agreed with everything this body of leaders has done, and I believe Irag is just a huge mess, the likes of which we are going to see the ramifications of for the next twenty years.
But, the Lord is in control, and, plan to or not, we all execute our parts in His plan. Including our elected representatives. My faith in Him offers an assurance our leaders are doing their best for this country, even if they aren't the best speakers, best thinkers or have the best past.
In short, while I don't necessarily agree with everything on Bush's platform, loving and serving Christ means I respect him.
Also, one final word for Tash - if you aren't a Christian, you are blind, how can you read the Word of God?

I am a Christian who voted for President Bush. Now, in retrospect, I see that I greatly disagree with his politics and I regret that I voted for him. While I understand that it is very difficult to be President, I also understand that the office is an elected office and the President is to be held accountable for the decisions he makes and is not allowed, per the Constitution, to make certain decisions without congressional approval. Well to me, our President has acted like a vigilante cowboy making whatever decisions he wants to make and worrying about getting approval after the fact. I believe he exercises more power than he legally should, and to me, this is dangerous. Good thing we have an election year coming up. I support our President because he is the one in office, yet I do not agree with his methods of running this nation, nor do I agree with his foreign policy. I do however, fully support our troops, who patriotically and sacrifically serve our country.

President Bush is a man. As a Lutheran I believe that God has placed him where he is, but he is a man, and therefore fallible. I didn't vote for him, but he deserves the respect given to the position. I'll say the same when we get someone I like more in the White House. As a Christian, you hope that he does let his faith influence his everyday decisions, though clearly he has made some mistakes...we all do.

Where do 'so called' anyone fit in any conversation.
This strikes me as one of those "those Christians" comments.
How about he's our president and we need to support a person in an impossible job.
Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

Just because your Christian doesn't mean you have to like someone as president. I am Christian, and I do like Bush. I like his as our leader. I realize that not everything he does will please everyone all the time, but it pleases me enough, and better than Kerry would have. A lot better than Kerry did. I think he's smart not to pull our troops out of Iraq, especially since they gave out a year of when they are going to do it. That's just like telling them, "OK were stayin over there til 2008, so you can just take a short vacation and then bomb us again after we leave." They are going to hit us again right after we pull out if we don't help them establish themselves and their government. What ever happened to people caring about others?? All we think is, "It's not effecting us a lot, so we don't care. We are saving money or making money off it so let's stick with it." I understand that the families of the soldiers (no matter where they are) want their loved ones back home. I know very well because my boyfriend is leaving me soon to join the navy, my parents friend (who is like a brother to me) is already in the air force, and one of my best friends wants to join the marines. I have so many close friends that are also in the military, that I know just how you feel. I want them home, but I understand what they are doing, and I support them fully and whole heartedly.

I think that he is a pretty good President on the most part. He has protected our Country from further terrorist attacks. The economy is doing pretty good since 9/11. At least he claims to be a Christian. He has made good Supreme Court Nominations and he stands up for Christian rights. There could be better, but he is one million times better than any Democrat.

Its kind of hard to lump all christians together now days. People say they are christians and they are not. I'm a Christian and I'm not thrilled with Bush because I dont trust him. Christian means "Christ Follower", even if you dont care too much for religion you cant deny that Jesus Christ was an amazing example for which we should strive to live. I would love to have a president that cared for people the way Jesus did. Someone I can trust.

What is a "so called Christian". I'm a Christian, and that is what it's called. I personally support Bush, but respect another Christian's right not to. Believe it or not, we don't all have the same political agenda, lifestyle, or likes and dislikes. The only thing we can guarantee we have in common is that we are all sinners and we are all saved by the grace of God through Jesus His son. Thanks for asking.
