I think there is a false dichotomy present in this question.
Christians believe the Father sent Jesus Christ to pay for our sins. Christians and Catholics believe in Trinity.
Muslims believe in a different god. Their god did not send Christ as a saviour. They don't believe in Trinity.
If you read the Bible and what it says about God and His promises and nature, and redemption, forgiveness, and conversely what the Quran states, then you will find out the Christian's God and Muslim's aren't the same. They're quite different in nature.
I am not a muslim but hope this helps!

The Quran states that Jesus and his mother are "not partners with Allah."
It also says Jesus is not the son of Allah, because "if Allah wished for a virgin to have a child, He need only say "be" and it is."
Before Islam, the ancient Arabs worshipped Allah and "His daughters." The Quran is very clear about worshipping one God, and the concept of Jesus as the Son of God is compared to the Pre-Islamic beliefs of the Arabs. It is considered an inappropriate to say Allah has a son, because that would bring God down to the station of a man.
However, Jesus is described as a "righteous Prophet" and it even suggests that Jesus will return to the earth in the end of time. Jesus is called by the names "Isa", "Ruhe" (the Spirit), and the "Son of Mary" in the Quran.

Muslims don't worship Jesus. They follow the teachings of the Prophet Mohammed. I think it's a shame there is such a lack of diverse religious education in North American schools.

i am nota muslim, but i know for a fact that they consider Jesus as one of their prophets... such as the many other in christian teachings... but Christians ended prophethood with John the Baptist... muslims with Mohammed...
All these only means that there are so many things Christians and Muslims have in common! Peace!

As a Christian, do you worship Moses or the one who marked him out? Roughly the same question as the one you asked.

Duh, Muslims NEVER worship a messanger, as it is forbidden by the Quran... They can't worship a god with a face or physical representation. Jesus is known, but they just think that his message was out of date, it is why their religion exist today....
