Without due regard for past generations why do American born citizens place other countries in front of the United States as a "motherland" when they live, and inhabit on US soil?

Most living things provide some function or role in the ecosystem/environment. Bees pollinate plants. Trees convert CO2 to oxygen. Some are food in the food chain. What do people do for the earth/universe?

At last god works nowhere, except saving oursheves with humanity. The community of relegion will shrink to give way to us the real humans for all life on earth, not for your fiction puppet of god. Remember science is protested much by the Christans, they claimed the earth flat, they ever reject science to dig into the instance of existance. But how they enjoy every discover from science and this make them ungratitude and blatant than ever. Just thinking the pope say earth flat, i very disgust this.

Let me preface this by saying that I do not intend this as a generalization for all theists, only those who lash out against non-believers, and complain about their beliefs not having influence in government.

Non-theists:
Started this country (America), on a foundation of freedom and a religiously neutral government.
Discovered electricity. (Ben Franklin) Harnessed electricity. (Thomas Edison)
Developed countless medical and technological advances, making them largely responsible for your every modern convenience, and the fact that you can live to be older than 40.

Yet you demand that the government and its laws should reflect YOUR beliefs and opinions, over anyone else’s. That your God belongs on the country’s money, and in the country’s pledge. (cont'd...)

As in Islam is bad.

Personally I don't think that Islam is bad. I just think that it's an unfortunate coincidence in English.

How could have God created the day and the night, before even creating the sun and the moon?

Getting even deeper how did he created plants and the trees before creating the sun, if they obviously need the of it to live.

By the way I do believe in God i just don't understand how can you take Genesis literally if it doesn't even makes any sense.

Most of us are taught that Evolution is the only "scientific" answer to all our fundamental questions, making us doubt the Bible. Thousands of us in recent years have discovered there's a whole movement of Christian creationist scientists working to show that the Bible is true after all. Where did you first figure out that the Bible is not a bunch of fairy tales but is the true history of the world?

For me, first I heard a seminar by Brian Young. Then I started reading Creation magazine (now called Answers). Then I started helping Dr.Lang with the Genesis Institute. What about all of you?

I'm guessing it's the thought of a 50 ton T-rex on a boat, along with a whole bunch of other adult dinosaurs crammed into every corner of the Ark.

And if Noah had to take full-size T-rexs and other full size dinosaurs, obviously there wouldn't have been enough room. So I'm guessing atheists think this is funny because they think it disproves the Bible. But of course there is an easy way to resolve this apparent difficulty - Noah must have taken younger, smaller dinosaurs, baby dinosaurs.

Lots of room on the ark then.

Not so funny though (although it is kind of amusing how silly this atheist objection turns out to be).

Or is there another reason atheists seem to love to bring up dinosaurs and Noah's ark?

In fairness to the Nazis, they didn't committ as many genocides with as many murders as the Muslims (see Arab Muslim Invasions of India - greatest genocide in human history).

Also, Nazis did accept and respect some minute aspects of other cultures and even participated in the Olympics, where Muslims for the most part, reject all non-islamic culture and, despite numbering in the billions, almost entirely reject the Olmpics and the intra-continental commoradery it engenders.

That said, the parallels are astounding. Both cultures believe in totalitarian control and the superiority of their kind (see Dhimminitude and compare to the Arian myth).

Also, the intolerance of the Nazis and Muslims are absolutely the same. I suppose its no coincidence that Muslim SS troops were some of the last to fight for Hitler (google it).

My mother doesn't have work - my Dad earns a decent living but is always out on business. She has many friends, and stays out with them almost everyday - until like 3, 4 am! We're all grown up - 14, 18, 21 but I feel like my Mom doesn't take responsibility. Our house is a mess, she rarely cooks, and when she's home she's too tired to hang out with us. I try to help out cleaning once in a while, but then I feel it's unfair because it's not my house and I wil want to move out soon anyway. It irks my Dad a bit but what can he do, he's busy earning money for all of us and can't stay home to watch what everybody does. Am I being reasonable? How to deal?

Just had an idea, and wanted to try it out on people. Y'know the Samaritans have a hotline you can call whenever you're feeling depressed or suicidal? Should the government set up a toll-free hotline to allow ordinary citizens to vent their anger, rage and frustration in a safe way? Pay the operators top-rate and provide them counselling services, but make sure they're there to give people someone to vent at. Might that stop quite so many people going postal? Might it give guys whose women have PMS a fighting chance of surviving till next month? Might it even take the fire out of the politically discontent like me and Michael Moore? 1-800-BITCHSLAP, your views please?

words about charity:

"You lack one thing; go, sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me." (Mark 10:21)

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal; but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matthew 6:19-21)
