Anything goes with mormons. I saw a tape of the "Miracle of Manti" play they did and all they did was bash Protestants.

i understand he's a prophet simply by e book of Mormon. NO guy might have written that e book without the help from God. Joseph on no account made any fake prophecies. He did ask God to tell him the time of the 2nd coming, yet God's cryptic answer replaced into something alongside the traces of, if Joseph lived to be 85, he might see the face of God, or something. Joseph did no longer understand what it meant, yet he figured that it probable does no longer ensue until now that component. to boot, it pronounced IF he lived to be 85, and he did no longer stay to 40 5. So, it replaced right into a conditional prophecy to start with. i'm undecided of your connection with the blood crimson moon, yet did it provide a particular time, or in straight forward terms some imprecise time line? simply by fact only simply by fact it did no longer ensue yet does not propose it won't.

Well, I've never heard of it being done, and I've been LDS my whole life (28 years). It was probably just a teaching tool that the Seminary teacher chose to use. No, the prophet's funeral is not a regular commemorative thing of the LDS church.

Things like this are usually particular to a seminary teacher's style. There's nothing within the church's educational system that recreates Smith's death, only that it could have been stopped had the authorities been more 'authoritative.'

My seminary teacher taught the spiritual link between Smith's prophecies and Emmanuel Velikovsky. That's not normal either.

In SLC, UT, they claim that Joseph Smith died in the jail and his blood cannot be scrubbed off the carthage floor. I would love to travel to were the prison is and see if the mormon church office lied to me, I AM SURE THEY DID.
Also, I saw the a Mormon miracle, the only one I ever saw, there was a paegent at one of their temples were a reinactment of the Book of Mormon play was being reaenacted and it was rainign,b ut as the time came for the play to go on, the rain stopped long enough for the play to go ona nd finish and then the rain stated again. Weird.

This is not a normal practice. Seminary teachers have a lot of leeway with how they teach about history and doctrine.

His funeral or his death??? There are a few movies that show how he and his brother were murdered while wrongfully imprisoned. I can't remember seeing a recreation of his funeral.

no i'm sure it was just an even that your area chose to do to commemorate. it might have been an anniversary of his death or something. i'm not even sure how anyone would really recreate his funeral, but i have been a member all of my life and i have never heard of anyone doing that.
