i haven't come out yet
and no-one knows
but today, at school
a boy and some of his other friends and me we're talking blah blah
and then somehow they got onto the topic of homosexuals
(i started to become shifty here, uncomfortable)
but anyway, this boy said he'd decapitate and send "all the fags to hell". and the other boys all agreed.
and so i said "aren't you bieng homophobic"?
and then automatically they started teasing me about being a gay campaigner rights person. i was so angry at all of them.
they went on further saying very bad stuff about us homosexuals. like the story of the boy who was killed by gay bashers, they said he deserved it.
I felt sick and so i left.
they didn't even notice i left
thats how interested they are in killing gay people.

what i can't understand is the level of maturity, let alone even adults, (well im 17) have towards us homosexuals. what is going on in the world?! how can one live with such closemindedness?!!!

If no one told anyone else what God they worshipped or which book they follow, or even if they believe in a Divine, would the world be just a little better? I've always seen spirituality as a very personal affair and wondered if people just kept thier noses in thier own business, would it solve a lot a problems.
Of course asking this question, I'm doing the same thing, but it's a hypothetical question. I'm just wondering if people have had the same thought.

I love Denis Leary and

"I can't bring up my kids in a church who's authority system is entirely based on the size of f-----g hats. that's apparently how the catholic church is run. the bigger the hat the more important the guy. priest has no hat, cardinals have those little red beanies, the pope has a collection of big hats... god must have a huge f----n sombrero up there in heaven huh? "look at me, I'm GOD! look at the size of my hat, who else would i be?" i dunno, the lead singer of los lobos? i dunno!"

My next door nebhior has a severly mentally retarted 15 year old daughter. She is left unatteneded, and often stumbles to my door. She comes into my house, and generally makes a mess of things. She is non-verbal and not toilet trained so it is difficult to reason with her. I see her every day, walking down the streets, eating flowers, often covered in dirt and wearing only an adult diaper. How do i get my nebhior to take better care of her daughter?

It was Sunday morning, the FIRST day of the week, according to Hebrew calculations, with Saturday the Sabbath as the seventh, when Mary Magdalene alone (Mark 16:9 and John 20:1) visited the tomb of Jesus. The question arises: "Why did she go there?" "TO ANOINT HIM", Mark 16:1 tells us. The Hebrew word for anoint is "masaha", which means to rub, to massage, to anoint. The second question is: "Do Jews massage dead bodies after 3 days?" The answer is "No!" "Do the Christians massage dead bodies after 3 days?" The answer is again, "No!" Do the Muslims (who are the nearest to the Jews in their ceremonial laws) massage dead bodies after 3 days? And the answer is again, "No!" Then why should a Jewess want to massage a dead, decaying body after 3 days? We know that within 3 hours rigor mortis sets in — the stiffening of the body after death. In 3 days time, the body would be fermenting from within — the body cells would be breaking up and decomposing. If anyone rubs such a decaying body,

Hardly anyone could read. They just had to take someones word for it. The opportunity for re-writing, and modernizing the bible was not missed, by the 'trusted ones' who could read and write.
How many versions of the bible are there?
Who edited these versions?
People are sheep, just following the shepherd to the slaughter.

So... did Jesus die willingly, or did he die unwillingly because they made him?

And how did he die for our sins if we werent even born yet?

how can he die for our sins if they still exist today?

And does *our sins* mean everybody in the entire world regardless of beliefs?

I opened a shopping center door once for a woman. She turned around and gave me a dirty look,as I had apparently offended her.
So,my question is:Do you like it if a man opens the door for you? Or do you hate it?

What is your guys's problems? Just because you hate Muslims, doesn't mean you have to make up lies about their holy book! "Kill all non-Muslims"??? where the hell did that come from?? Muslims are very clean people. Those who are involved in attacking others, have totally been brainwashed in weird schools. Don't blame EVERY Muslim for all the attacks! We too shed tears for every death young and old.
Give me your opinions.
If you're going to say something extremely insulting, then just keep the damn comment to yourself!

Point in question: A woman is asked to remove her cross necklace while she's teaching and she refuses, saying its her constitutional right to freedom of religion... and yet she is fired because they are afraid her necklace will offend someone who isnt christian.
and yet they didnt think that.. their asking her to remove her necklace was offensive to her?
and on that note.. why would that offend someone? it wouldnt offend me if someone of a different religion was praying or worshiping in their own way... as long as they dont mind me praying in my way!
People are so easily offended. take it from a true southerner.. life is alot easier ifyou just dont give a damn about the little things in life! like being offended... just dont care! its soo much easier than actually complaining about things!
and besides! if everyone else get freedom to practice their religion. why cant christians be free to wear their crosses?

yes. before someone flips out i know, is usually not like that!

They like good clean fun... unless they are dirty old men, and even then they are old and boring, just perverted which makes them that much worse.
They are stuck in the past and are usually out of touch with the concept of modern reality, but still think they know everything. Some are zealots, most are just insane, and are more often that not, excruciatingly embarassing.

why doesn’t he provide some good evidence of his existence?

Is he playing some kind of sick game or something? Christians believe in a God that has created a Hell (or at least permits its existence) where non-believers will go. Yet you’ve seen from the Atheists Q&A’s here that AT BEST, the evidence is shaky for God’s existence (let alone the fact that there is no good evidence that points to any particular religion).

They believe in a God that allows billions to be forever tormented in Hell simply they were born into the wrong culture that shaped their world view that told them it is the Hindu, Muslim, or other Gods that are real.

What kink of God is this? Certainly not a loving one.

If you answer "that's what faith is for," do you really think it's good to play around with something that serious?

Well, I just started dating him since a week. I am partly at fault here since I told him he could reach me anytime, even in the middle of the night. Basically, that was my way of saying that I am always there for him (what I forgot to add was that only if it's urgent or an emergency). He said he was "touched" when he heard that. So now, he is out to a conference in another city, and since the last 3 days, he has been calling me at 3-4-5am in the morning just to chat and brief me on what's going on. I am sure he knows I was asleep, but he doesn't make any attempts to hang up. Is this selfish behavior. The problem is once I take a call, I am unable to go back to bed. I have started to feel resentful about him.

How can I politely tell him to stop calling me at these hours, without him taking me wrong? He has shown respect, caring, affection, and concern for me in many other ways though.
