A bloke i spoke to a couple of weeks ago said i shouldnt push my ex girlfriend and that i should let her get on with the other thing whatever she is at, and see if she comes back to me.

Thats easy said, but like i told him the other person is a girl! and my ex says she wants to experiment, i think i know her pretty well and she says shes bi, but the girl shes having this thing with instigated it and i think my ex is just confused as she says she loves this person. We still love each other, and went together near three years and its obvious to me and her that wer still in love, but she says she has feelings for two people now.

I feel like Ross out of Friends with his X!

What a situation!

I know this is stupid, but how come you like someone a lot even if you just met them on Myspace, and only for a few days? It happened to me :'(... I met this really cool guy on Myspace, we messaged each other back each day, he ended up giving me his number. So I called him, he called me back 2 days after I left a message. We ended up talking for hours, and we really hit it off! Neither of us are looking for a relationship, just friendship, which I'm fine with. We talked every night for 5 days, but he hasn't called me back or even called for 3 days now. I know it's too soon to be worrying about something stupid like this, but it's how I feel. I see him get on Myspace everyday though. I called him last night, but he didn't call me back yet. Is he ignoring me? Should I just forget about it? Thankx in advance.

They are essentially based upon the same nonsense? A single category would suffice AND conserve limited bandwidth. Robert Pirsig observed: "When one person suffers from a delusion it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called religion."

There's always creationist types who "catagorise" people by whether they believe in "their" god, or not..
If "alleged" disbelievers also had an interest in, and acceptance of ALL mainstream scientific principles and understandings, they may instead be called "evolutionists", but still considered "athiests".

I don't "define" myself by my disbelief in your god, but if a term had to be used, I'd consider myself more of a realist.
In my view, a realist can be from any corner of the globe, and from within any community or culture. Unlike religion, it isn't possible for a scietifically literate realist to provide discriminatory explanations.

Atheist: a disbelief in the existance of god.
Agnostic: one who holds that we know nothing beyond material phenomena, and maybe some things are unknowable.

So what would christians and their fruitcake creationist brethren call: "embracing mainstrean science, and an appreciation for the work and findings past, present and future"?

Just because u were brought up Christian/Jewish/Muslim/Hindu/Tribal religeons.....etc etc (sorry but they are the first that came to mind), why does that make it the right one? Is it not a bit insular and closed minded not to look into others? I think so. I love thoughts and readings from other cultures, a lot of the time they open my eyes and mind more than ever.

If homosexuality is not a sin but gay sex is. What if two gay people make love not just sex and pleasure? Do they sin if they express their love for each other through sex?

In the Garden of Eden God warns Adam and Eve not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge because if they do surely they will die. The Serpent says surely you will not, die but you will become like God with the knowledge of good and evil. They eat the apple and lo and behold the Serpent was telling the truth and God it turns out was being dishonest. Even if the Bible is God's word doesn't he kind of blow it by lying in Chapter one? How can we trust him after that?

You agree that paranoia creates delusion so why if you're paranoid about ghosts and you see/feel one, it's not a delusion? Most of the time we just see what we expect to see and if you walk into an abandoned mental institution that's supposedly haunted, how can you not be paranoid? There are all sorts of probability errors.

Christians tell me that a just god does not allow sin to be in heaven and therefore cannot allow those who have not come to him to be in heaven. I just dont understand that. Is it because that concept is all you know or does your heart truly condone such an Idea. God says to not look to man but to him, and i can see why you would believe you pastors about hell. Yet there are other alternatives like universalism that uses scripture to justify its reasoning. Universalism is the belief that none should burn eternally in hell. Do you then still believe in your heart of hearts that an eternal punishment is just ? I challenge you to look at this site, a resource fighting in the name of universalism

The nation of the world was often portrayed in the Bible as beast. (Daniel 7) I notice, money conveys the mark of the beast (such as flag) name of the beast (such USA, Germany, Japan) or the number of his name (value of his currency?)

And that no man might BUY or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast or the number of his name. (Rev.13:17)

The Dalai Lama is the spiritual leader of Buddhism. He was picked out for this role as a small child and groomed in Buddhist beliefs all his life.

Now from what I understand, he's also a deeply compassionate and forgiving person. He has been quoted as saying something like (paraphrased by me from memory): "(when China took over Tibet and caused him to have to flee for his life) I was in danger of failing to forgive the Chinese"

He worried about loving and forgiving the Chinese more than he worried about his own safety.

In other words he is forgiving and loving to a very high degree.

Now, assuming this is a Catholic/Christian universe, assuming all love has it's source from God, and assuming that his upbringing indoctrinated him quite firmly into Buddhism (and continues to do so), do you think that Jesus will have Mercy on him when he dies and allow him into Heaven?

Remember, this is a hypothetical question working under the assumption of a Catholic/Christian universe!
