It is very good. The concept is good. But a layman, even a layman will not see it as Mahishasura Mardini. For a while I took it as Kannagi, the Tamil epic main character who burnt Madurai when her husband was killed by the king on th charge of steeling the queen's anklet in Silapadikaram.

You can improve it by just making the trident more clear or adding a lion or a buffalo and by this it will be a very good painting and people will understand. Please do not mind for my comments...

I like it. I think she usually gets shown with more arms though!(right?) Yes, the triumph of Good over Evil.
It is a longer story to this Durga. It and her full title should be with the painting. The feminists might like it. I am not sure what the Boss might think of it though.

Interesting, the painting itself seems to be the frame of the javelin/lance/staff. The lady seem to be the accessory of the javelin.

Deeply ironic for Mrs Palin by way of fact she accused Democrats of attempting to kill people (her "demise panels" declare). She is, with the help of her own definition, responsible of producing a blood libel.

I think it's good & it portrayed the End of Evil....Was that bright yellow on the right meant to be Light approaching?

An interesting & inspiring piece of art u've created there.
Cheers from me.

agree with level three. its a very good painting...but you can make the trident more clear...to give it a complete description of Mahisasura Mardini.
colours are beautiful...if you don't mind...there is another thing...Her eyes...it looks calm...even though they are open wide...it doesn't have that expression....i mean i can't describe it :p...

:)
but i like your painting!!.... *two thumbs up*
