Since being on this site I have never felt more enlightened. The more I learn of your views on religion and obsesssion with that dusty book the more I am hapy within myself for not believing in anything. This is not a joke either, I feel liberated that I can think for myself, live a righteous life and get on with my fellow human. The grass has started to become greener, the sun brighter. The mysteries of the natural world should and will stay that way and that is fine for me. Who is with me on this? Everyone come round to my house now and we'll watch a wildlife show together..

I am currently at Uni and as most students are, I'm constantly broke and always trying new ways to make money. My room mate is an escort and has taken on a few private clients who call our flat quite often and also conducts her business from our flat , the thing is I have started taking her clients, when they call here to make appointments with her I offer them a competitive price and have them over when I know she won't be here. I have started making some pretty good money now and feel good about being able to afford new clothes, etc but should I tell me flatmate? Am I stealing from her?

First let me say I believe in god and Jesus and everything that goes along with that.

It is just that when I hear people say , 'when I get to heaven' or 'I know Im going to heaven'. I often hear from people that God and/or Jesus talks to them all the time.

I am not really sure why it bothers me or why i find it a little arrogent of them to think that they know if God will let them into heaven. Not that I am saying their life is good or bad. Just that when I talk about heaven I try and say that I hope God lets me in. I am doing my best but in the end it is still up to God.

I also wonder do these people really think they are talking to God.? I do talk a lot to God/Jesus and hope he is listeng, but I really think he is way to powerful to talk back to me.

evolution theories have more holes in it than most religions. if we evolved from other species, are we done yet? what will we look like in a thousand-10 thousand years.

surely if we came from first the sea, then monkey, then to modern humans, what s next? being a flying human? it doesnt sound that crazy if you believe the bolony they re feeding you about the monkeys.

as for the advancement of each species,why did some fish stay in the ocean while others grew lungs? was it a gene they pocessed, if so, shouldnt we know which one of us are going to be flying humans bc certainly we must have a different chromosome or gene?

we ve come along way from say the the caveman years. if evolution stayed constant, why isnt there still cavemen just like there s still monkeys and fish?

We all know during the medieval age, Islam and Christian are a very sadistic and brutal religion. They both war for religion. In the name of religion, christian invade other country or burn someone who accused as witches. Islam mutilating sinner and kill someone non muslim is halal.

As time goes by, Christian is becoming a more peace loving religion. As we all know, in the modern age, Christian is evolve as a peaceful religion.

But Islam still like dumb, brutal and sadistic religion like in the medieval age....Why Islam can't evolve like Christian ? Is there anything we can do to help ?

Though I do not believe that gods exist, and have not since before I took razor to chin (I'm now 71), I rarely call myself an atheist, or think of myself as such. But I'm thinking that here, at this tower of talk talk talk, I'll accept it as what I am. My question on this morning in spring (I am in the South...the southeastern part of the States...it is spring here) I'm mildly annoyed by the anger and sneering of persons who claim they are Christian. If that is so, if these people are Christian, some of them sure as shoot aren't acting Christian here. Such language, such disrespect, such hate, hate, hate. Disagree with nonbelievers, sure, but isn't there a better way to speak the speech without dropping to so low a level? (Yes, yes, I know that atheists here also engage in such vile babble, but, hey, remember that you are a "Christian" who loves and forgives, or so you say).
