He has to judge you by your deeds...even if you don't know him.

Awesome question...one that people (even Christians) struggle with.
There is a verse in the Bible in the Old Testament book of Zechariah that I think answers the question. It is found in chapter 13 verse 6 -
"And one shall say unto Him, 'What are these wounds in thine hands?'. Then He shall answer, 'Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends'.
Remember Jesus was crucified and had wounds in His hands from the nails. When He came back to life, these wounds were the proof He presented to His disciples that it was He. My point is, in the verse in Zech., these people do not know how He received the wounds...they don't know the Gospel story of Jesus coming down from heaven, becoming a man, living a perfect life, dying a death in our place to save us from our sins. They obviously "grew up in total isolation" as you said.
With that being said, if a person is exposed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make the decision to REJECT Him as God and Savior, then they are held accountable. If a person doesn't know, God "winks at our times of ignorance" (Acts 17:30), but once we know, we are responsible for it.
By the way, the Bible doesn't say that God deosn't judge us by our deeds...it just says we are not SAVED by our deeds. There is a difference, but that answers another question!
Hope this helps.

Quite frankly I don`t think God judges us! I think He leaves it to us to judge ourselves when we die.
A large number of people who have returned to life after a Close-to-Death experience usually confirm that our whole life is shown to us from Birth,(or perhaps even before,) up to the moment of dying. I have known several people who have personally had this experience and were happy to tell me about it. ( Perhaps those who had had a bad experience preferred not to talk about it!.)
Therefore, whether or not we have been told about the existance of a Loving God to whom we and everything visible and invisible owes its existance, we will nonetheless it seems, all have the same experience on dying from which we cannot escape, not even by pretending, or by trying to convince ourselves beforehand that there is no After-life ! (Perhaps these people have a really bad conscience and prefer to believe that they will never have to face up to what they have done, by choosing to believe they will just cease to exist!)
However, from the point of view of furthering one`s knowlege
it would be very interesting to be able to ask someone who had been isolated all their lives from the rest of Humanity, if they had formed any thoughts on whether there was more to Life than what they could see and touch, and whether they had come to the conclusion by themselves of the existance of Good and Evil. Perhaps we might be surprized by their answer!
However, when I think of it, the answer may be a long time in coming! Afterall, if someone who had been isolated all their lives from the rest of the world they would certainly not be able to speak in a way that we could understand!

First, There is no such thing as a sinless human being.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Secondly, without a mediator (the Lord Jesus Christ), you must pay for your sins.
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death"
Lastly, there will never be a person that will seek the Lord and not find Him.
Luke 11:9 "And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."

I like to see it like a bridge like on a motor way or something. So, this bridge is Jesus, and to get to God, you have to cross this bridge. But you can still cross the bridge without knowing you are. Jesus died so that everyone can get to heaven, and God wants as many people to get to heaven as possible, so he's going to give everyone the chance to cross over that bridge. But, if you know that bridge is there, and decide not to go over it, you cant get to God. God's given everyone the choice, and he's not going to force you to cross that bridge if you don't want to. But yeah...if you don't know about the bridge, I think God will still find someway of helping you cross it. The whole point of Jesus though, is that you dont have to be judged by your deeds.

Hi,
God does judge people by their deeds, and he will be very fair. God is a fair bit smarter then people give him credit for. He knows the intentions of peoples hearts, and he will judge people on their motivations.

Because God has given us plenty of evidence of Himself (in creation, I suppose) He knows that many who never heard of Jesus will be worshipping a higher power that they don't know by name, and they will be judged by their actions. Not sure where in the bible it says that but it's in there somewhere.

Catholics believe that he or she would go to heaven, as long as the person's life was lived more or less according to what Jesus taught, which was pretty simple: do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
