what right has a man got to tell a woman about what she is wearing and what she should be doing with her body?

It is not any muslim man or Iman. The Quran says to tell those believing women and men to dress with modesty...just like when parents tell their children what to wear. Why is this an issue.

Umm... ok. I think someone needs to learn a little more about what what the Muslim people REALLY believe. Yes, there are some that take things to the extreme, but aren't there in every religion? Also, every religion tries to convert people! Just because someone doesn't see things the same way as someone else doesn't make them wrong, or evil. As far as trusting americans that convert, of course I do!! We all have to believe something, and making a statement like this shows that you are unwilling to really learn what this religion is really about. I know many Muslim people, and most are some of the kindest people you could ever meet! I have no bad feelings towards those that really follow their religion. The ones I have a problem with are the ones who take a few tiny scriptures and use that as a means to be cruel or to cause problems for someone else. There are people like that in every religion, so to just pin it on Muslims isn't fair.

The Qur'an and God dictate that, not men or imams. Although it is shameful that in two countries - Iran and KSA - women are forced to cover their heads, in most Muslim countries it is the choice of a woman and/or her family whether or not she dresses Islamically.

You should know that many Muslim women choose not to cover. Doesn't make them any less Muslim.

Yawn, yawn.

As a Muslim woman no one tells me what to wear not my father not my husband and certainly not an Imam.
Allah tells us to dress modestly not man.

You are free to dress and do what you want with your body as am i. Just because MY choices are different from yours does not mean its not MY free choice, it is.

But hey why dont you ask why nuns dress the way they do? Who is dictating to them how to dress?
Again your question are only addressed to Muslims because you are only interested in trying to vilify a faith you know nothing about.

Clone, fake, liar.................I think you should worry about your own sad issues and not what other women choose to wear.

Islam is for the individual, male or female. If men tell women to dress up in any certain way (which they should not), women have the right to tell them not to stare at them to begin with. the point is that it is a relationship between God and mankind and there is no intermediary between the two, man or woman.
Cheers.

The Qur'an commands that all people, men and women, dress modestly. THAT is where I get my guidance from. My husband and the Imam do not control my life.

Bible try to shave the head of un-veiled woman
1 Corinthians 11:6 Says if christians woman does not cover head, shave her head. Why Christianity molest women
Bible interested in shaving the heads of all Christian women because they do not cover head. Why Christianity is so curel to women??? I am happy to be a muslim and Islam respect women not shave their heads!!!!!!
1 Corinthians 11:6 KJV: For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
1 Corinthians 11:6 ASV: For if a woman is not veiled, let her also be shorn: but if it is a shame to a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be veil

Bible says woman is bitter than death because she is woman.
Ecclesiastes 7:26 says: All Christian women are bitter than death. O Christian women are you really bitter than death.?
I ask you o christians women why your bible degrade you. Whereas Quran gives high pedestal to women. O Christian women why all versions of bibles speaking against your dignity?
Ecclesiastes 7:26
GWT: I find that a woman whose thoughts are [like] traps and snares is more bitter than death itself. Even her hands are [like] chains. Whoever pleases God will escape her, but she will catch whoever continues to sin. (GOD'S WORD®)
KJV: And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her but she will catch whoever continues to sin. (GOD'S WORD®)

Is advising someone wrong?. We have laws and regulations to follow. We are just reminded about them. At least, we don't ask you to pose naked in Playboy magazines or work in the adult industry or work as prostitutes. We are asking you to dress modestly. Where's your brain?

nobody can force you to do what you don't want... these people are just advisers and want to apply what Allah has commanded us with...but still no force or obligation even from Allah . because we will be judged in the day of Judgment of whether we have done what He has asked for or not?...so, no decrees
