Since being on this site I have never felt more enlightened. The more I learn of your views on religion and obsesssion with that dusty book the more I am hapy within myself for not believing in anything. This is not a joke either, I feel liberated that I can think for myself, live a righteous life and get on with my fellow human. The grass has started to become greener, the sun brighter. The mysteries of the natural world should and will stay that way and that is fine for me. Who is with me on this? Everyone come round to my house now and we'll watch a wildlife show together..

Unfortunately R & S has done nothing but lower my opinion of christians I've never seen such ignorance or hate in my entire life. It's a little depressing

On the plus side it has made me very glad that I got off the belief train at an early age.

I know exactly what you mean, there certainly are some crazy people out there, and most seem to contradict themselves and are quite hypocritical, id rather keep my life the way it is and be able to sleep in every Sunday because i do not have to get up for church, and worship among people trying to out do each other with their latest vision, and by sleeping in i wouldn't feel that i was angering god its the day of rest and I'm resting.

I feel horrified to have learnt just how seriously so many Americans take that dusty old book.

I'm glad to live downunder where the fundamentalists are much fewer.

FYI - There are Christians who believe in science, evolution, quantum physics, et al., and understand that the Bible is a collection of ancient texts from different authors intended more for spiritual solace than historical edification. Is it really necessary to single out Christians for your scorn as opposed to say, Jews, Hindus, or Jains?

I can't watch wildlife shows. I hate when I see the tiger catch the gazelle! I'm a wussy.
