The body is not the soul, it is the temporary vehicle of the soul. When your car gets a flat tire, you can't expect it to perform the same way as when all tires are functioning. Even though you are same person driving in both situations, you can't get where you want to go as effectivly when a tire is damaged.

The soul is not our mind...nor our conscience. It is the part of us that is imortal and is created in the image of God. Someone brain damged, still has a soul and often without the mind in the way, these souls can commune with God in a pure and simple way. The mind often clouds and blocks the path to God.

Mind chooses to be bound temporarily to the brain, even as it forms the brain. It does this to learn what the "soul" chooses to learn here in this projection of mind.

The mind is not the brain.

If someone you really love dies it hurts You.
Not your body, not your brain, not your physical heart
but You. Though sometimes pain can be so great
that we feel physical symptoms and have physical
symptoms.
