Christians tell me that a just god does not allow sin to be in heaven and therefore cannot allow those who have not come to him to be in heaven. I just dont understand that. Is it because that concept is all you know or does your heart truly condone such an Idea. God says to not look to man but to him, and i can see why you would believe you pastors about hell. Yet there are other alternatives like universalism that uses scripture to justify its reasoning. Universalism is the belief that none should burn eternally in hell. Do you then still believe in your heart of hearts that an eternal punishment is just ? I challenge you to look at this site, a resource fighting in the name of universalism

God gives us a choice. We can accept Him and live our lives by His guidelines, gaining character and strength as we grow. Or we can chose not to accept Him and He will honor that choice throughout eternity by separating Himself from us. This is what hell really is, eternal separation knowing what was rejected by our own choice, without light or hope. It is not what God wants but He will honor His gift of free will.

God created the entire universe plus self-conscious beings like Himself. Having been given a freedom of choice, these persons eventually declared their independence from God and broke His laws; which were necessary for the good life that God planned for them. The situation became very unpleasant for God and so He had two choices. He could have exterminated them; the end, the plan failed. Or, out of His caring concern and love for them; provide a solution. He could not simply forgive anyone because He had to do something about all the injustice in the world. God pronounced a just sentence (Romans 8:1); but also provided a full pardon to all who would take it. He had to be mortal because God can not die and He had to be God because only a sinless person could pay for the sins of another. If Jesus is who He claimed to be, then it is not unreasonable for God to be bound by death! Nor is it unreasonable to suggest that He should have the power and the purpose to rise from the dead! In fact; it would be unreasonable for God to be bound by death! (43)

If the infinite Creator wanted to communicate to all of us earthlings what He was like; how could He show us more clearly than becoming one of us? If He wanted to show us how serious the offense is, to break His moral law, how better than to forfeit His own life? And if He wanted to tell us how much He loves us, how could He do it more dramatic than dying for us?

Biblical faith is more than intellectual reasoning. It is the logical choice! Other religions have teachings about an historical person, but it is Christianity that's based on what a person did. Of all the religions, no other has left such lucid evidence of God's involvement with humanity. We can either appreciate God's way more deeply or we can stubbornly and foolishly decide to go our own way and see where the outcome will lead. Anyone wishing to make sure that he has taken the first step of faith, should confess his moral failings to God and then in his own words, thank God for sending His own Son Jesus to die for him! From that point on, trust Christ to lead and develop his worth in a way that would never had been known without Him.

God is a God of love, he is also a God of Justice. Look at it htis way. If somebody murdered your sister, mother, and then the case went to court, then would you want that Judge to punish him? Why? Because he broke the law, and deserves to go to prison right. Same as us, we have all broken God's law of perfection. None of us are perfect right? We have all lied, stolen, used the name of hte Lord in vain which is called blasphomy, the fact we are all sinners in the eyes of God, we all deserve Hell. That is why God sent Jesus into the world to die a horrible death that he did not deserve. God placed all of the sins of hte world on his precious Son so we do nto have to perish into hell. If there was not Hell, then there would be not reason for Jesus to come to save us. He died so we can live, and live with him in Heaven. Please expect Jesus as your personal Saviour and friend.

Think of it like this: let's say you take a man who will go to Hell. After he dies and goes to the lake of fire, you make exact carbon-copies of that man all with the same memories. Then you kill them. They too will go to Hell after they die because they held the same beliefs as the first man yet they never asked to be alive. You might say that God will have mercy on the clones but why would He not have mercy on the first man?

i don't believe that anyone can or will be 'sent' to hell...i do believe, however, that by the choices we make on this earth, we 'select' our own destiny...the idea in a God that says, "oh, just do whatever you want, regardless of whether it is right or wrong, it's all the same to Me" might have some appeal to a 5 yr old who, above all else, wants to avoid any consequences for bad behavior...but we adults know better...a website can't change Christ's teachings, and God is the arbiter of what is 'just' or 'right'

Who are we to question God's justice? God gives us plenty of chances to repent, and turn away from doing evil. If someone is bound and determined to end up in hell, despite God's infinite patience, love, and help, well then maybe that person has earned the trip there..... Think about that one for a while........

What you stated is a false teaching and not supported by the Bible.
Our death 'pays; for our sins. Romans 6;23
"Hell" [ Hades] is not a permanent place. Revelation 20;14
It is to be destroyed, along with death. So it is a 'companion' of death. And that can only be man's grave.

I Iooked at that site, but what did Jesus say?

Matthew 25:31 "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left.

34 Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.'

37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?'

40 And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'

41 "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.'

44 Then they also will answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?'

45 Then he will answer them, saying, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.' 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
