There is something wrong with your question.
Karna was not suffered by the deeds of Dhuriyodhana.
But Pandavas suffered and if they forgive, there is some meaning.
Karna was great in doing Dharma, not in forgiveness.
Though he was a good warrior and Dharmavan, Since he
was with evil force, he was not supported by anyone.
But god gave him the enlightment in the end just because of
being great dharmavan.
Arjuna was loved and supported by Krishna, he could not get enlightment.

No doubt FORGIVENESS is very good.
Duryodana had inherited bad motives and all his actions were wrong and bad. Karna was aware of his bad deeds including that of Duryodana's bad behavior with his (Karna's) wife. He took everything lightly and gave full support to Duryodana. People say it is because of his high qualities that Karna possessed and what ever he did was for the sake of friendship. Actually this was not at all the reason. Karna was so much humiliated in the arena when he wanted to show the skills of the princes, where the he was not allowed to show his valor on the plea that he was a Sut-putra (Born in low caste). Only Duryodana was by his side with all bad motives in his mind against pandavas, made Karna as King of Anga Desa to match the princes. Due to humiliation met Karna decided to go as a companion for Duryodana for the kind gesture shown by Duryodana and supported him in all his misdeeds. This was the reason why he was not supported by the elders and his own mother Kunti...

After the completion of their studies in arms and warfare, Dronacarya arranged that that the kuru princes to display their skills in the weapons. Suddenly, in that assembly Karna appeared uninvited and showed off his skills in the weapons and wanted to fight with Arjuna. Krpacharya, following the rules of combat, asked the lineage and race of Karna so that Arjuna could decide to fight with him since the fight should between the equals.
Karna was embarrassed and kept quiet since he was not coming in the royal line. At that time, on the spot, Duryodhana arranged for the ceremony and crowned Karna as the King of Anga. Thus, in one sense, Karna was purchased by Duryodhana and when Karna being indebted asked as to how he can repay Duryodhana. Duryodhana told him that he wanted his friendship only.
Karna knew nothing about Duryodhana and was due to circumstances were made as friends and there is no question of forgiveness before they became friends.

u have asked a long story. Karna was maata Kunti's son born out of wedlock so she abondened him as soon as he was born. a poor childless couple were ecstatic to find him and thus adopted him. By virtue of his birth, qualities and benedictions Karna was a great kshatriya. He is said to be Surya's son so he had a kavach(cover) and his kundals ie earlobes because of which he was protected. Bhima and Arjuna had insulted him by saying that he was not a kshatriya but a low class man's son. Karana never forgave the pandavas until finally Kunti his mother talked to him asking him to not fight pandavas bcos the pandavas were his half brothers. He assured Kunti that he will not kill any of his brothers in the battle but Duryodhana was a loyal, upkaari friend so he will not dessert him and give all his loyality that he can. Karana was actually a great kshatriya not only because of his exceptional qualities of a warrior but because of his forgiveness-he forgave his mother Kunti and the pandavaas. for them he sacrificed though it was him alone who could defeat Arjuna , he kind of lost the battle deliberately so as not to kill his brother. Karan was also a "daanveer" ie a great person of charity. the demi Gods conspired against him so that he could not be such a strong member of kaurava's army. Indra-king of demigods conspired against him and decided that he will disguise himself n ask 4 Karana's kavach and kundala because at the dawn when he worshipped he never refused to give away anything. Surya warned Karna in his dream tht he must not give any promise to Indra because it was a conspiracy. So when Indra approached him Karna knew already. but he still didnt refuse to give his promise and gave away his protective ornaments.
When Karna died during the battle of Mahabharata Lord Krishna paid obescience's to him and praised him a lot. Karna was a good kshatriya so there is no reason why he would have suffered. Lord Krishna must have given him a good and suitable destiny acc to his karmas. In Mahabharata all people at the side of Kaurava's had to die because they were at the side of adharma(atleast physically). the war had to be won for dharma irrspective of individual warriors. even a great person like BhishmaPitamah ,who was a yogi, died at bed of arrows so it doesnt mean tht his fate was bad or tht he suffered. As Lord Krshna said: "o Arjuna look at victory and loss with the same perspective and get up to perform your karma. in either way you will be benefitted"
addition-and yes Karna had been against Pandavas before the war and he was indebted to Duryodhana and was his loyal friend so forgiving Duryodhana was never a ques for him.

Wild guess- maybe bec. he knowingly(that is he knew that his friend Duriyodhana was evil, right) spported in all his wrong doings. I think as a good friend he should have tried to knock some sense into Dur.'s head.
