It is not bad luck. But it probably made things worse for you. Why? Because that spider built webs in your house. Some in places you can't even get to. These webs capture hundreds of other pests that the spider loved to eat. So you will probably see more bugs around than you did before.

In a nutshell - SPIDERS ARE OUR FRIENDS!

I don't think its bad luck . But I also don't like killing any living thing. Ideally its nice to get it in a cup and put it outside. Not that I do that all the time, I really rarely do and make my fiance kill the bugs.

In Islam i believe it is, but this is because moslems say the spider built its web in the entrance to the cave where the prophet Mohammed (PBH) was hiding from the people who wanted to kill him, thus the spider saved his life.
I think no animal or insect should be killed unless it is a threat or will cause any danger !!!!!!

If it is then I must be dead by now, I don't know how many spiders have killed through my 29 years, must've been a colony.

Sigh... superstion has struck again.

Why not choose to live free of fear?

Are you serious???

I broke a mirror a week ago, and *then* I got the job I need so badly. But then again... I was born 13 minutes after midnight. I'm one of the luckiest individuals on this planet, my daughter lived after being born 2 1/2 months too early. Luck? Nah. Serendipity rules.

To someone who likes spiders it would seem they consider it bad luck, howeever the old wives tale concerning spiders that i remember form my youth was that if you killed a daddy longged spider it would make it rain on your parade.
