Trying to preach to other people to convince them to read the Bible or to stop being gay or they'll go to hell. I don't like being hated & so many people hate us because a few are preachers who quote the Bible. I respect everyones beliefs but I just don't want athiests or gays or any other group to hate us for the actions of others who share our beliefs. What do you think?

In Yahoo Answers!

1. 'The fool said there is no God'. Read Psalm 14:1'
2. ' I thank you Father for hiding these things from the wise and revealing these to mere babes', this is according to Jesus himself. Read Matthew 11:25.

Oh, btw, the word prophecy does not always connote prediction. It also connotes teachings.

So, what do you think? Are these prophecies being fulfilled long before Yahoo! Answers existed?

I just want to know using your religious beliefs as a basis if you think pot should or should not be legalized. I personally think it should. Pot used to be used in many rituals as a means to open the third eye. It helps aid in divination, by opening this eye.

I'm a non-English speaker. I'm confused by adverbial clause. I wonder if the following sentences are correct in formal English writings.

1. While Tom was reading novels, Jim was reading comics because novels were difficult.

2. Although English is hard, I still like it because it is being used worldwidely.

I think these sentences are not idiomatic. I can use compund-complex sentences to rewrite sentence 1, as "Tom was reading novels, but Jim was reading comics because novels were difficult." But are sentence 1 and 2 correct? Do westerners use that kind of sentence structures? Thanks.

If we are all born with sin due to our past misdemeanours, why cant the Christian's take responsibility for all the blood shed by their hands throughout histroy?

If you dont accept past wars etc at the hand of a Christian, then you cant really accept sin. Its not a case of picking one or the other, you have to have both or not at all.

I just saw a show on TV about undercover stings on the internet, and people getting "hookers" online. and a lot of the sites said something about "greek specials". Anyone have a clue of what that is? I'm just dumb to it i guess.

Don't get me wrong, I am a Christian. I wonder though, if you don't believe in God or a higher power, why are you always responding to the religious questions?

Ok. I asked the quesiton about why I have to ask forgiveness for being the way god made me (as in a sinner since we are all sinners) and was told that god didn't make us sinners it was our free will that caused us to be sinners.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AiIAT7IMwcPPW5yDeY2JdCfsy6IX?qid=20061111212931AA0niE1

I then asked if anybody had lived a sin free life like I had and was told that it is impossible to do that according to the bible.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmaxDPo.MTM.bFjWsQNRsInsy6IX?qid=20061111214259AAIWgrx

Now I will try ask this as clearly as I can. If it is totally impossible for me to live a life without sin, then it what sense is it my free will that causes me to sin? Free will would mean I have a choice either to sin or not sin, but the bible clearly says that I HAVE to sin. So that would bring me back to my first question. Why would I have to ask forgiveness for sinning if I have no choice but to sin?
