How could there be more then one church or faith, If there is only one God? There is no need for more then one church, because there is only one God. There is no need for any other faith, for there is only one way and one God to believe and hope in. The bible speaks on this to make aware there in the future there will be many decievers making different religions and beliefs. It warns us many times to watch out for this. As it says in Ephesians 4: 4, "There is one body and one spirit, just as you were called to one hope at your calling; one lord, one faith, one baptism, one God the Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all. and in Ephesians 4:14Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves, and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness, in the techniques of deceit.

Because the "Church" refers to all believers in Christ. The one faith is the faith is Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Aside from that there is nothing else other than false prophets and the doctrines of demons and satanic lies. Believers in Christ are considered the Bride of Christ, the Body of Christ etc. To even insinuate that anything else was possible or true would be a contradiction of the entire Word of God.

The word one needs to come up often because it is an important word and a difficult concept to keep in thought at all times.
If human thought really grasped the meaning of One, there would be an end to war, wealth would end, power would be unknown, etc.
So One is stressed in the Bible for good reasons.

When the Bible refers to "one church", it is not talking about a bunch of buildings or a particular denomination. According to the Bible those who are Christians ARE the church, and Christ stressed unity among believers above just about everything else.

So believers are to be united in their allegience to one Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, and be united in faith and the hope of heaven.
