Yea . . . . I never fully understood the worship and pray to Mary thing, and I'm sorry. Our Pope is the final Authority on earth who clarifies the Word for us. We pray for the Pope because he is loved, not worship him.

Worshipping anyone other than God would be considered worshipping a false idol.

Christ said "why do you call me good...only the one who sent me is good."

Worshipping Mary or the Pope then is a definite /nod

Worshipping anyone except God, is considered worshipping false idol. We can respect or admire a spiritual leader if he follows and teaches the true teaching of religion. Respect is not to the extent of worshipping him (the spiritual leader).

Certainly the Pope. Mary is a bit harder to dismiss.

Most people think of idols as Baal or the Golden Calf

Alright here what i don't undestand, some christians claim jesus was son of god but they worship the father. Now you're saying ONLY Jesus Christ is to be worshipped, so what's the truth?

I'm not comfortable worshiping any false idol.

I don't worship Jesus....I look up to him and respect him. I would like to be as wise and merciful as he was. He taught us the way to live a life of truth, struggle and humility. I have a great admiration him.

There can be only one God....one source of divine energy.

what's the difference between those who worship Christ and those who worship the Pope? they are both humans.

Jesus (pbuh) was no God. and maybe you should consider that next time you accuse people of worshiping a false Deity.

Yes.

But remember, worship is a strong word.

I can Love mary, admire the pope.....love their sacrifices and thank God for them.

But to worship them I interpret as wrong. (I could be wrong, but I feel pretty sure on this one)

God Bless ya'all
