Wouldn't he have given it a name rather than a number? Seeing you can easily mix up numbers. You can't tell me that from Exodus when the Sabbath was put in place, alll the way until now that the Sabbath was kept every time withtout being thrown off track since their were no caledars etc/ technology to keep up with every 7th day.

Christians, please don't take this wrong, because I truly want to see you succeed and I'm hoping that it will cause you to think.

The way I see it is that the modern day Evangelical Christian church is similar to a band of musicians who claim to be the best band on the planet, and that they will ultimately win the battle of the bands. But when you show up their concert, they never play music because they are too busy talking.

To answer a few questions, that is!

1) Why do you think that sex between two men is "disgusting", yet you drool in anticipation of seeing two women having sex?

2) Do you really fall for the porno crap, that we are just amusing ourselves in bed until a big strong man comes in, do you really think we're waiting for you?

3) What makes you think we can't live without you?

I am interested in how the natural world plays a role in our lives. I plant sweat peas and add lemongrass to my houseshold cleaners in the spring. I have had an amber ring that has centered me very well for the last six years and am now searching for something with a meaning more directed to the person I have evolved into. A red sun sitara,a carnilean, a chalcedony and a tigers eye have recently caught my eye and I am juggling my thoughts. I am an Aries, born on March 21 in 1978, if that helps. My favoite color is red. I'm happily married and a stay at home mom of a wonderful and terrible 2 year old, as the saying goes.

I am not bashing on Mormons or trying to be rude. I am living in Utah and trying to understand what Mormonism is. I had "discussions" with missionaries but was even more confused when it was over. I am not a Mormon hater, or anything close, but since I moved here I have constantly heard that the rituals that take place inside the Temple are very similar to pagan or Satanic cult worship. As I understand only certain "worthy" memebers of the church can even set foot inside the Temple. And I cannnot seem to get anything out of anyone about what takes place in there. Why is it all so secret, and who decides who can go in? I have been brushed of with answers like, "weddings" and "baptisms", so I would please like to get some more in depth answers than that. Why the seperate wedding dress for inside the Temple? What exactly is baptism of the dead? No one will help me out on this here. People just think I am mean, or a hater. But I am not. I just want to understand.

The psychology behind suicide bombings.
By - Pierre Rehov, documentary filmmaker

On July 15, MSNBC's "Connected" program discussed the July 7th London attacks. One of the guests was Pierre Rehov, a French filmmaker who has filmed six documentaries on the intifada by going undercover in the Palestinian areas. Pierre's upcoming film, "Suicide Killers," is based on interviews that he conducted with the families of suicide bombers and would-be bombers in an attempt to find out why they do it. Pierre agreed to a request for a Q&A interview here about his work on the new film.

Q - What inspired you to produce "Suicide Killers," your seventh film?

A - I started working with victims of suicide attacks to make a film on PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) when I became fascinated with the personalities of those who had committed those crimes, as they were described again and again by their victims. Especially the fact that suicide bombers are all smiling one second before they blow themselves up.

Q - Why is this film especially important?

A - People don't understand the devastating culture behind this unbelievable phenomenon. My film is not politically correct because it addresses the real problem, showing the real face of Islam. It points the finger against a culture of hatred in which the uneducated are brainwashed to a level where their only solution in life becomes to kill themselves and kill others in the name of a God whose word, as transmitted by other men, has become their only certitude.

Q - What insights did you gain from making this film? What do you know that other experts do not know?

A - I came to the conclusion that we are facing a neurosis at the level of an entire civilization. Most neuroses have in common a dramatic event, generally linked to an unacceptable sexual behavior. In this case, we are talking of kids living all their lives in pure frustration, with no opportunity to experience sex, love, tenderness or even understanding from the opposite sex. The separation between men and women in Islam is absolute. So is contempt toward women, who are totally dominated by men. This leads to a situation of pure anxiety, in which normal behavior is not possible. It is no coincidence that suicide killers are mostly young men dominated subconsciously by an overwhelming libido that they not only cannot satisfy but are afraid of, as if it is the work of the devil. Since Islam describes heaven as a place where everything on Earth will finally be allowed, and promises 72 virgins to those frustrated kids, killing others and killing themselves to reach this redemption becomes their only solution.

Looking around Yahoo answers I see people trying to 'prove' their religion by using really, REALLY messed up equations, facts and other stuff that has obviously just been spoon fed to them b/c it is too senseless for them to understand. Seeing stuff that amounted to '1=3, so trinity must have exsisted' and a long sinceless argument ending with 'that's why we have the god gene' I am almost felt like puking. And the worse part, they might have the some ancient book tht ...grrr..how could I put this non offensively? Ok..let's say 3+2=5...That is a fact, right? If 3+2=5 proved their wasn't a god (not meant to be taken literally) than christians would quote the bible saying something like 'NO! 3+2=6, it says there is an invinsible 1 floating over the 2...See, that proves it..!' Plz let's all try to be more thoughtful no matter what our beliefs. <--not meant to b offensive :)

The bible suggests that god was quite capable of taking out people he didn't like without human help. Why didn't he do it himself instead of getting humans to break his commandments? There seems general agreement that it is not god's usual MO to use humans to commit genocide, see my previous question on the Holocaust

1Sam.15
[1] Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.
[2] Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
[3] Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ***.
