What do muslims think of mohammed?

is he just a man and one of many of allah's prophets or is he a great prophet or like a god or something. Most muslims' say he's just a guy but what about the fact people killed when he was in a cartoon. Or that 1 of the pillars is to say mohhamed is allah's prophet. please straighten this out

Muhammad to us is the man of tender heart, fear Allah, does what God telling him to do without arguing, he compeletly surrounder to God.

in the Quran God cleary said it that no difference between any of the massengers. so that's mean all prophets are equal in the eye of God, some prophets have been given favors over the other, such as Jesus with the holyspirit, Moses with supporting miracles, Muhammad with the remaind evidence Quran (non change) and the sealed of the prophet.

Muhammad in Islam is like any of these prohets of God. he is not just a guy, but a prophet of God. and God want to put it very clearly that Muhammad is a human being to not do the same mistake with Jesus.

and yes the 1st pillar of Islam is to say, there is no other God but Allah, and Muhammad is the prophet of God. because it's very well connected. if you did not believe Muhammad is the prophet of God, then how will you believe in the Quran or anything that he is saying?

Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) was the last messenger sent by God. He was pure and peaceful. He, just like Jesus (peace be upon him) was sent to preach people about believing in one God.
There are many many books that speak of his life and what he's done and what he's been through..
Yes, it is one of the pillar to say that mohammed is Allah's prophet.

and ofcourse any one would get offended if their prophet/ God was insultet and degraded.. so its only logic and natural that all muslims would be full of rage and anger for the cartoons.

We believe he was a man who hailed from the prophet Ibraheems family, he was given a task to spread the message that there is only one God and we believe that there was no other prophet after that. There are people who are close to God but non in future will be prophets. He is Gods true messenger which is the pillar u r talking about

Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) is the last prophet of Islam, though many people who have strayed from Islam will contradict me. He was the last chance for human beings to save themselves because before him,there were many prophets but none after and the sole purpose of a prophet is to lead his people.
He is not, absolutely NOT a god, but he is a favorite of Allah. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was sent to guide all of mankind not just one specific group of people. That is why he is special among muslims and why it is one of the pillars to say that he is a prophet of Islam and Allah.

i think Mohammed was just great.His achievement surpassed every one either in the past and even today.

The avoid the same mistake that the Christian made,the Muslims are reminded that he was only a prophet,an ordinary human but with all the good attributes.

I am not against cartoon but not just everything can be portraited as cartoon.This is especially true about Muhammad.
Even by sketches or drawing alone will not give a fair view or represent the actual Muhammad.
So Islam is actually against portraying something which is not.It can be amounting to slander or ridicule.

If you ridicule a judge in a court of law for his verdict you can be charge contempt of count,don't you?

They believe he's the last Prophet of God. He's not given God status like Jesus in Christianity. Muslims also believe Jesus was a Prophet. This opposes views in Christianity that believe he was the Son of God. Maybe that's why they all hate each other.
