Because he doesn't exist, of course.

So many of these questions are easy to answer if you're willing to accept the truth.

Certain people would say that He does...however it is my view that the truth of the matter is that certain people are more intune with God than others.

I believe we all have a link to God when we are first born and that gradually it stretches if we are not able to converse with God, whether through our own upbringing or because we stop believing in God. However I also believe that it's an elastic link and therefore we are able to get back to God close enough that we can speak to Him and, in some cases hear what He has to say.

Cute you are not Jesus but you want to follow after him. Great
He does only we do not hear him or remember. I feel he comes in DREAMS and in prayers and answers when we least expect a answer or when we seek him and need him the most.
Cant wait to meet God.
I guess when I die I will be able to hear him clearly.
Seeking God goes in the presence and how much you want him and block out all the things that interfere and get really quiet.
Now do not be a fanatic or give over to fantasy. He does not give you answers automatic or every 5min or have you do anything unsightly or embarrassing. I Love God.

He does. All you have to do is recognize God's voice. It is not so much a voice as someone taking over your thoughts. God does not have to shout to get his point across. It is more like your brain is being used by God or the Spirit to communicate with you. When Jesus was crucified and the veil in the temple split from top to bottom, that gave us a direct link to God without going through the priests.

I was out jogging one day and got really thirsty. Very hot day, no water. I thought if I had enough faith I could ask God for water and I would get it. Then I thought 'what a selfish prayer' I'm not exactly dying here.
A minute later a car pulled off the road, a man got out and jogged beside me and handed me water.
What do you mean God doesn't talk to us. Can you hear what He said to me? "There is no thing too small for Me!"

he is always talking to us we are not listening, sometimes we don't listen because we think we got it all figured out. pray and wait on an answer. oh no we rather listen to people who don't even believe or pray. i read over some of the answers, it was a lot of answers that doubted god. when you believe in god you believe whole heartily. even though you can't see him you know that he is right there during the good and the bad times. you know that man didn't make the sky, stars, moon, sun and the rain. you have to have faith.

god does!!! all the time...you have to be quiet and still and receptive...god doesn't yell...most people drown god out 24/7........the world would be a better place if we listened to that still small voice...god is in everyone..it's an inside job....not out there or up there....it's like god is evenly distributed among us...like a drop is a part of the ocean...i'm not religous...i'm not talking about the god of the churches..

I think it has to do with the fact that he and his homeboys only communicate by payphone, in secluded alleyways and subways.
That is why Santa, the Easterbunny, God, Jesus, Moses, and all of the other religious figures only speak to the homeless crazy people. They are the ones out there late at night that catch them in the act.

How much more direct do you want?

Miracles surround us. The sun coming up every day. The moon controlling the tides. Fish in the ocean, birds in the air, and occasionally vice versa.

I often wish I could have a face to face conversation. One day, I believe we all will...just some of us will go with God, and some the other way.

Because of original sin, we are separated from God, (Like the song, "Ya gotta keep 'em separated...") until God calls us back.

** Why doesn't God talk to us directly????????????????

I hear you,
Apparently we will have to be content and fulfilled
by talking to each other.
If I was the Master of the universe I wouldn't talk to
me either.
What would I tell myself that I didn't already know.
As long as there is life, there is hope.

Have a blessed day.

Maybe he talks to us in code. That avatar looks like the monolith from Space Odyssey. Cool.
