why can a black comedian come on tv and say jokes about white peeple and not be racist but if a white person did that they would be considered racist ? and how come there can be a black entertainment channel but god forbid if there was a white entertainment channel. ok yeah there was the whole slavery thing so long ago but it seems to me that the same people who complain about their anscestors or relatives being discrimanated against are the same people who are agreeing with an all black channel. why do black people feel the need to keep seperated from whtie people?

Some people seem to think that people on welfare are just spilling out unwanted children so that they may live off of our hard earned dollars and not have to work.

Others say that they are just troubled people that need help and that's the best they can do. What do you think?

This woman, obviously not a happy person, shot herself with a shotgun blast to the stomach to kill her unborn child. Unfortunately her full term baby died in via this violence. Does it not seem absurd that one can kill ones own child all the way up to the very day of birth and get away with murder? With this particular issue society is very very sick indeed to allow such things to happen with little or to no penalty. This incident just goes to show how absurd our ideas are on what a constitutionally protected person is. To me this is not even a hairs difference to going into the delivery room after birth and then blowing her child away. I really hope we wake up spiritually. This issue is of current America's worst systematic manifestation of spiritual sickness.

When you pray at night, does somebody really hear you? I pray as much as possible, but sometimes I just feel so lonely like nobody listens or even cares about what I have to say. I do believe in God. I just wanted to know how you feel about this.

I grew up in a Catholic church that played traditional hymns on an organ. Four years ago, I moved to another Catholic church-with a whole different sound. We have a singing group that plays with guitars, drums, tambourines, and even maracas. I absolutely hate it and don't think it belongs in a Catholic church. After reading the reasonable answer in my last question (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20060711100532AAbqum1&r=w), it appears that there does not seem to be a real argument over the fact that DEC 25 was adopted as Jesus' birthday to coincide with a Pagan holiday to, lets say, 'ease' the transition to Christianity.

Works for me, no argument there - but.... as a logical conclusion, does this not almost force one to at least entertain the possibility that other 'things' were altered to achieve the same effect and that, hence, the practice of literal interpretation of the bible seems a bit risky?

Again, I am interested in FACTUAL DISCUSSIONS and I do not care for fire and bristone from EITHER side (yes, atheists, you too.....)

I want to be a true Christian and follow the preachings of Exodus, but I have no slaves. Where do I get some so I can serve God by complying with the following:

EXODUS
21:1 These are the laws that you must set before [the Israelites]:
21:2 If you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve for six years, but in the seventh year, he is to be set free without liability.
21:3 If he was unmarried when he entered service, he shall leave by himself. But if he was a married man, his wife shall leave with him.

I always read on this Yahoo!forum the opinion that "homosexualy is not natural, because when the whole world would be gay, then we can't reproduce and the world would and."

of course the whole world won't be gay, but let's work this out a little bit.

hmz, what about Artificial insemination. That would mean no unwanted pregnancies, it would lower the amount of abortions spectacularly. Most religious people hate abortions, so they would be happy.

can we from now on agree that the argument "being gay is wrong because then the world would end" is a kinda silly argument?

(btw, when i post these sort of questions, i always seem to have to mention that i'm straight and that i love my girlfriend. It seems that my questions are read differently when people wrongly assume that i'm gay, which is also strange...)

A recent question asked about the logistic ramifications of The Flood.

One of the answers was: "It's easier not to question. Just believe it. Hurts your head a lot less."

Is this seriously how some of you think? Isn't this an acceptance of ignorance and a refusal to challenge anything?

When an atheist says that Christians have no mind of their own, I think that this is where that stereotype originates.

Obviously most of you do not feel this way, but I'd like to hear from those of you who do, who accept blindly whatever you are told, so as to have your "head hurt a lot less."

Do you not see the error in this way of thinking? Defend this position.
