It is obvious that they are his favorite in the old testament, and a little fuzzier in the new testament. But, he destroyed so many other peoples just to make a new place for the jews to move to. Doesn't that seem a little predjudiced, and you would think of all people african americans would see that and reject the bible, but they don't. It doesn't make any sense for anyone but jewish people to want to believe the bible, but it's rampant. Sorry, I just don't see the appeal.

You have to look who originated the story and who wrote it down.
ALl ideas and concpets ( even the great flood) were already in place but Jews marketed the idea better. Than came Paul and continue.
Its all who orginiated. Plagiats.
Therefore GOD and Devil are par

First thing u need to do is get out ur Bible and read it, God did not choose Jews as his favorite people. God did not take sides in the Bible at all! The Jew's and Jerusalem happened to be the area that all things bloomed from. It was merely a stage with actors, it is not like God made them better, its just a cooincidence, I think that it honestly could have taken place anywhere, with any race of people, but if u read the Bible u will know that the Jews were his people, Jesus was reffered to as the "King of the Jews" - yet his own people "the Jews" crucified him!!! the lesson is to love your enemies especially when they dont love you! Good Luck with your reading, it is always good to read, educate yourself, and then ask questions, the Bible has all of your answers!

Where did you get that from nowhere have i read that Jews are his favorite secondly the only people who used his name or entered into a covenant with the creator came along way before Jews, Judaism is a religion made up of traditions and beliefs not necessarily the teachings of the creator. The way I found this out was many years of research and study not following blindly.

Do you know how wrong you are? If what you said is true, answer this for me.
What do the muslims think about that?
Why do Jews get made fun of so much?
Why are jews considered cheap, snobby, excentric?
Why did god not stop the thousands of Jews being marched into ovens during the holocaust?
Why were some Jews made with facial features that get them ridiculed like noses, ears, chins?

The Israelites weren't chosen because God loved them more, but because he had a mission for them.
If you've read the Bible, you know all the things God did for His people -- He took them out of slavery in Egypt and led them through the wilderness to the promised land... and more.
His covenant (testament/contract) with His people included obligations on both sides. God has fulfilled His obligations -- the Jews continue to fulfill their side of the contract/testament/covenant.
God told His people that they would be a holy (separate/apart) people and gave them 613 laws to follow, most of which could only be performed in the Temple which no longer exists.
To be God's chosen people implies "obligation" rather than "favorite." No other nation was given 613 laws, but if you like, you're more than welcome to join us in our obligations to God.
As His chosen people we are to work with Him to finish His creation and to bring peace on earth. He will send a great human leader to help us in this endeavor.
If you think you have problems with ten commandments, try more than 200...
Shalom my friend
P.S. Nay Nay: Jesus calling himself "king of the Jews" didn't go over so well with the Romans -- they were the ones who appointed the king and they crucified troublemakers by the thousands. The streets were lined with thousands of dead Jews rotting on crosses.

children of Israel are the chosen peopel during Moses times only. and because they are the first race to believe in God (they are from Abraham roots) then God sent them many prophets. however God is kinda angry at them. Then God chosed the other children of Abraham (arabs) to give them a chance to believe by sending them Muhammad with the Quran.
the chosen people are those true beliviers who worship and surronder to God alone. Not jewish, not christians, not muslims no one will enter paradise except he is a true believer (worship God alone).

According to Judaism he didn't pick us as his favorite anything. Have you read Jewish History?
Jews accepted his Torah and agreed to be an example to help lead the world to him. There is no favoritism to being chosen.

The bible says he picked Jews because they were the smallest of all the nations. This does mean that they will recieve more blessings or favor. Anyone who has faith in God can recieve the blessings and favor of God through their obediance.

He chosed that group of people because at the beggining of times the desendent lines from the people that obeyed him were ment to be Jews. And as result of they're rightness, he chosed that people to be the "favorite" ones
