the Orlando History Center but at the slightest rumour that
the private parts of a statue might be showing, people are clamouring to cover drape it? Which of
these is natural and which is unnatural?

My grandmother who is Jamaican used to say, "Some things are best left forgotten." This is my view, and a view shared by many Jamaicans regarding the horrors of slavery. While I respect and understand the African American view that 'to remember the past is to not repeat it' this is not a view that I share. So, if I were a parent, I would not want my child presented images of fear and hate from this very sad period in America's past. And while, I don't agree that bus loads of elementary school children are taken on tours to see it, this is an individual parent's decision. I do respect that the African American people want this exhibt included but do these images help children and how are they suposed to feel?

I have to do a paper on the functionalist perspective of racism. One of the functions is “Society must invest a good deal of time and money to defend its barriers to the full participation of all members.” Can someone help me to understand exactly what it means?

We met someone and we're sexually attracted to that person. So we date, get married, have babies. Now we need food, shelter & clothing so we have to work. We need a car to go to work. We need to relax so we go on vacations. We retire from work and then we die. And it all started with sex. Am I being too simplistic that we're in this thing called "life" because it all started with being sexually attracted to someone? What are your thoughts on this?

I met two guys at work, both Mexican, we became friends. My neighbors are an Hispanic couple (he from El Salvador, she from Panama) so I introduced them. Next thing I know, all four are going to the movies together and didn't invite me, even though I was the one who introduced them.

Same with Whites, Blacks and Asians.

It sucks to be the only member of your race around. It seems you're always excluded. Why are people like that? :(

And is George (the decider) Bush, as bright as he appears to be?

"Now consider the correlation's from 2000. Keep in mind that IQ scores are based on a mean IQ being 100. There are 18 states whose population had an average or above IQ (3 digits). Only two of those states-- New Hampshire, where the election was tampered with by Republican operatives who are now serving prison sentences, and Virginia-- voted for Bush. On the other hand the dozen states with the lowest average IQ (and the correspondingly lowest average incomes) all voted for Bush. Connecticut has the highest average IQ (113) and the highest average income ($26,979) and it voted overwhelmingly for Gore-- just as overwhelmingly as Mississippi, with the lowest average IQ (85) and the lowest average income ($14,088), voted for Bush."

In my experience white people tend to look down on me because I am black. If i go into a store, Im looked at like a theif. If i apply for a job i am treated like a criminal as though i have a hidden past in prision. If I go to the shop they act like im dirt.

In short. White people think they are better than black people. Why is this? What makes you think that you are more human than me just because my skin is black and yours is white? What makes you think you have more worth than me as a human just because you are white?
