No. TV is a tool which we have not learned how to use yet. Once we figure it out we will all be better off. There was a time when the average being could not read. Why?,Because their was nothing to read. Then along came a medieval Bill Gates, and invented the printing press The Gutenberg Bible was his biggest seller. He was jailed for it ,Because he translated the bible into a form most could read and understand. The printed word was much like today's videos and TVs are, Just as the printed word changed languages and communication in those times.. The Video and TV screens will change the language of the future. It may take a while yet, but I see The universal language will be that of the computer < > + =12@3#5%6^7&8*9(0) Dot com is a term in Russia,China, India I think your catching on. The TV is a tool. It is just that we have not yet learned how to use it.Your sons and daughters will teach us, and those that will come after them. Man made the wheel first, then came the wagon.

Ever wonder how the people that run this country do it in the worst possible way, they create laws nobody agrees with, spends the wealth of the country on a European state which the majority of people don't want and send our soldiers to fight other peoples wars again without us wanting it.
Its quite easy really just a few simple steps.

1) TV
2) Newspapers
3)Drugs

How they work

1) Keeps you docile and lazy, you work for 8-9 hours sleep about the same, travelling and cooking and eating another few hours whats left is just enough to watch your favourite programmes

2) Brainwash you to an-others point of view.

3) To keep the masses at in a bad enough state that they lose all their aspirations and dreams so they will never rise against those ruling them.

And this is the price of freedom

The Frankfurt School of Neo-Masrxists would certainly agree.. according to them mass popular culture is simply another tool of the Bourgeoisie to control the Proletariat... to prevent them seeing the conditions and the exploitation they live in... A Pacifier, if you will.
i think i agree... The X Factor... Coronation Street?

Yes it is....I wholly agree...you sit for hours on end watching this little box across the room that has nice pictures...sometimes not learning anything at all...chances are at the end of our life some of us would have spent more time watching television than spending it with our children...
